Subaru's remote buttons are so easy to be misspressed. I found my car's door unlocked or trunk open 3 times within the first month I got my outback, which never happened in the past 20 years when I drove a Honda or Toyota.Getting a cover (not necessarily this one, but this one worked for me) is the solution.

Perfect fit
This fit my Subaru fob perfectly. I do think the back (looks and feels slightly textured) will wear down fairly quickly. I have had mine a few weeks and can tell it already is not quite as textured. However for the price I do like that it protects my fob. Looks, feels and is as described. I would buy again. Recommend.
