Q: Is this suitable for toes

Yes maybe for a child. For an adult I purchased the 2.5 number 12, for toes,and would recommend it , you can still use an applicator if you wish,but as its a little bit wider you can just use your fingers easily. Having dressed my husbands toe I have learnt to attach adhesive tape to secure the tube,and to place it from front to back on each side overlapping at the front and back.hope this helps

Q: What size (of limb circumference) is this designed for?

well i can only say it fits comfortable on my index finger..i am a ladies glove size 7..hope this helps..

Q: Will this fit an adult thumb over a padded dressing?

Probably. It's the smallest size so more for fingers and toes but would probs be ok on a small thumb.

Q: how many come in the box...I read it as 1, is that correct?

Oh um! - considering the cost, you would be right to assume you get ONE as in 1 unless you expect to use it on all eight fingers and two thumbs all at once.. For the record, this is less than I paid for one about thirty odd years ago, so in essence a bargain. On getting the first one on this site, I brought another for the car First Aid kit. Hope this answers your question :)
