Excellent case for any S type guitar
I picked up a Jackson SLXFMG soloist recently and didn't have a case for it. I had owned one like this previously and since one of my sons needed something to carry his Squire Strat in I thought this might do the trick. The case came packed well and covered in a thin cloth/polyester bag to protect it inside the shipping container. Once it was unpacked it was exactly what we wanted, it's very sturdy but also pretty light for this type of case (the Fender molded and Ibanez Prestige cases are heavier). We like the way the locks work on this better than some of the other as it was easy for my 9 year old to open and close securely. Hinges look great, no issues on closing or opening, the fit and finish was excellent as expected. While there are no closed areas there is plenty of storage for tuners, cables and straps. The portion of the case that supports the neck is also somewhat longer than many other generic cases, this is a big plus for me and I believe it's this superior neck support when the lid is closed that keeps some of the guitars from moving so much like they do in other cases.I'm attaching pictures of multiple guitars for reference. This case fits a strat perfectly, but it also fits any S body style as well from what I can see. While there is some room to move, once the case is shut I didn't feel the Soloist moving around (the Blue) nor the JEM. Thus if you have a Jackson DNKY, Soloist, Ibanez RG/JEM, Charvel, EVH (except the Star) with a strat type body or especially any type of Fender Strat then this is an excellent, protective and light case that should work well for you. It should also work well for a Tele but don't have one at the moment for reference. This case will NOT work for a Les Paul style guitar, Explorer, V etc...

Just what I wanted
The hardshell case is perfect for what I wanted- a case that would keep my guitar and accessories safe during a trip in the car. It's not rugged enough to survive the cargo hold of a plane, even though the lock is TSA approved. But the case is sturdy, doesn't warp or twist, and has pockets for extras like cables or a small tripod stand. The 3 clasps that close it are good and rugged, and snap down securely. Overall a great value and highly recommended.

SKB-66....worth the wait
Needed a case for my Strat, and those G&G tweed-type ones are too expensive for what they are - and your guitar flops around inside them! I know, because I had one with my old Jeff Beck Strat. This SKB on the other hand (just like my acoustic SKB case I've had for about 15 years) is shaped to hold my guitar securely with NO movement at all. Just what I wanted. It looks and feels super-tough, and the TSA latches are fantastic to use. I just hope they hold up. Another thing I really like is the grippy, rubbery-textured handle. It may sound like a silly thing, but it just feels solid in the hand and much nicer to hold on to than the moulded plastic handles you get on regular guitar cases (or G&G's for that matter). So all up, I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely get another. In Australia, the inferior SKB-6 ("economy" model) is around $14 cheaper than this shipped from the U.S. through Amazon.....a no brainer to get this instead then, really. I think these are around $200 (AU) over here, so for $144 delivered to my door, I couldn't be happier. Thanks Amazon!

Soild guitar case
Love it. Fits both my Tele and Strat perfectly. I love the TSA locks. The case is very solidly built. My only gripe is the accessory compartment inside doesn't have a lid, so the items in there can move around.

I like this case a lot. Happy with my purchase.
Seems to be a great case. I love the latches on this thing. Fits my 2000 Mexican Strat like a glove. It looks like this is going to hold up well for many years, especially since it's going to be just me handling it. One minor quibble: the metal plate under the handle with the SKB logo was installed a bit crooked and looks kind of cheezy. Not enough to mar my opinion of this otherwise excellent case.

we love this case
A tremendous guitar case. This case, we love this case, don't we folks? It's a great case. Just a great, great case. I love it. It holds a G&L Fallout. It looked like it wouldn't fit, but it did. Fallout is bad. North Korea is going to see some serious fallout, that I can tell you. It's true. We call him "Rocket Man"! He's a lightweight, like this case. This case is light. It can lock too, ok folks? You can keep illegal immigrants from getting in. That's what we need to do. You know it, everybody knows it. MAKE GUITAR CASES GREAT AGAIN!

Great case for the money
I give 5 stars because it survived a round trip airline trip in checked baggage to Europe without any issues more than a few scraps. The latches are solid and close the case securely and the lock is TSA approved. The interior holds a strat style guitar with a reverse headstock very securely, with space for a few accessories. The case is sturdy, the hinges are strong and the lid closes squarely on the lower rim. I recommend this case not only for everyday use but for the occasional trip by air as well.

First Case Defective....Second Case Defective....Don't Know Why I'm Bothering With a Third.
This was a replacement for the first case I received that was defective. The first case had an indentation right near the latch. Worried that when carrying in bad weather, the case may not be waterproof. The second case I received did not even close properly and was completely out of alignment. Lets see what happens with the third. Not expecting much and have a feeling I will be returning that also. Always though that SKB cases were well built quality merchandise. Obviously I was wrong. At least Amazon's return policy is easy enough.Third case was what I expected. Too bad it took three to get it right.
