Powerful Little Chainsaw
I just got done sawing off a number of limbs of a tree that died over the winter. This pole saw was up to the challenge. I easily cut through limbs up to 3 inches. What I like is that my body is several feet away from the sawing, so I feel safer than a chainsaw. The battery lasts quite a long time. The learning curve, oil, and regular cleaning was the only thing that slowed me down.

High performance pole saw !!!
Very impressed with this pole saw ! The battery life is exceptional ., I have used this for long periods of cutting with zero issues . Quick chain tightener is a very nice feature . Chain stayed sharp with the auto oiler ., easily cuts through 4” thick limbs . Quality pole saw ., very happy that I purchased it !!!

Great saw
During a snowstorm, a branch from one of our trees came down and damaged a neighbor's car. Two other branches from the same tree were overhanging the street, and they needed to come down. I got the Ego pole saw and did it myself, saving $500 based on the lowest commercial bid I could get. The branches were high enough that I needed an extension pole to reach them. Using the extension pole caused a bit of sway at the saw end, but didn't take long to compensate for that. Without the extension pole, though, the saw is quite stable. Another quality EGO product.

A great Pole saw. Not interchangeable with other eGo tools.
Just took it out of the box an hour ago. Went right out back and started cutting through a 15' diameter stand of Russian Olive, 12' tall, immersed in Multi-flora Rose. Had it down in less than 5 minutes! They have multiple deals listed. Mine came with the Power+ power head, Battery, and Charger. Make sure you check the details! Also, be aware: This is a Dedicated Tool!! While you can interchange the Battery, You can not attach other tools to it.

Worked great. Nice unit
Nice unit for the money. Perfect for around the home maintenance. Would not recommend for commercial use.as EGO does have a more robust unit for that application.

Well built but telescopes only to 10 feet, NOT the 13' (or 16') promised
Very impressed with the solidness of the build and the overall features.HOWEVER, the marketing materials here on Amazon say it "extends for a total reach up to 13 feet (or 17 feet with EP1000 extension pole, sold separately)" in one place (in the About This Item section) and "extends for a total reach up to 16 feet" in another (in the From the Manufacturer section). Given that contradiction, I knew when I placed the order that the full extension might end up being the shorter of the two (13'), but I wasn't prepared for what happened when I received the product today and assembled it: When not extended, the tip-to-tip length is 7'10" and when fully extended 9'10" (so my headline above is being generous when I say "10 feet").I just called Ego customer service and the representative sounded baffled when I explained that I only got 2 extra feet from the extending action, and it's still over 3 feet short of the 13' promised (I've given up on the 16' promise ... went to Ego's own website and there you only see the 13'-17' wording, so not sure where 16' ever came from, maybe a model design that never made it to the manufacturing floor but the creator of their initial promotional materials didn't get that memo). Haven't heard back from them yet, but it was troubling that the representative seemed to have no clue what was going on.Bottom line: Great product IF you reduce your expectations and don't count on more than a 10-foot reach even when telescoped out. Of course, you can purchase the extra extension pole (EP1000) and get an extra 3.3 feet (at least, according to Ego's marketing materials), but that was clearly not supposed to be required to get the promised 13'.
