Effective tool for testing injectors.
This thing works great! I used it to test some old injectors and compare them to the new ones that I'm about to put in the Jeep and I could visibly see the difference in the spray patterns between the old and new injectors. Just a side note, go to any parts store and get a can of brake parts cleaner or carb cleaner and pull the nozzle off. If it has a little white nipple sticking up, you can use it to pressurize the adapter and the injector will spray the cleaner so you can see what it's doing. Just hold the blue adapter in the palm of your hand and use the first two fingers to hold the injector in the adapter because the pressure from the can of cleaner will make the injector fly out. Also, please remember to point the injector in a safe direction and away from your face when you press the button to activate the injector. I found the 1,2 and 5,6 settings to be most effective for basic testing. They will be listed in the instruction manual, but they're basically low and high power single and rapid pulse settings, respectively. Use with caution and I think you'll be very satisfied with it.

Aerosol can pressure too high.
Some injectors, like the ones from my Honda Accord, will not operate at the higher pressure from the aerosol can. I had 8 injectors to test, and 4 of them were out of a running engine. Couldn't figure out why they only worked a split second when I activated the aerosol can. They don't mention this, or at least not that I could find. I had no idea the pressure from an aerosol can could be too high for the injector to operate.

helped my peace of mind
I was working on a 20+ year old truck with no real maintenance record whose Check Engine light had kicked in, so I've been replacing parts that are inexpensive (O2 sensors and spark plugs) and testing those that cost some money (fuel injectors). I had bought a fuel injector tester kit that plugs directly into a 12V source but decided against using it. When a fuel injector is in an engine, the voltage (and therefore the current through it) is applied for extremely short durations. I was concerned that while testing I could burn up the coils and destroy the fuel injectors themselves, so I bought this one instead.Works great, only problem was universal for this style of tester: the amount of pressure coming from the carb cleaner can easily popped the fuel injectors out of the plastic attachment. The injector needs to be held tightly in place while simultaneously spraying the can, then this tool's activate button needs to be pushed.

Works as intended, but use carefully
This works perfectly when it comes to pulsing the injectors for cleaning. But there’s two things that are keeping me from giving this item 5 stars;First, the adapters included are not universal for all injectors, and may not work if you’re attempting to back-flush your injectors.Second, and this is a big one for me, the plastic housing for the injector tester is prone to dissolving with certain chemicals. Unfortunately, one of these chemicals is Carb/Injector cleaner. This is a major oversight from the manufacturer, as that is the primary chemical anyone will use with this kit. If there is even a slight amount of residue left on your gloves or fingers, the plastic will turn to goo and become sticky.Other than that, device worked as intended for my purposes.
