Fantastic gates. I purchased 3 of these for our deck around our house in GA. They are definitely child proof and dog proof. Sometimes even people proof. You must pull up on the gate to release it. As long as you know to do that it opens easily--if not--someone could be there a while before figuring it out.Quality is excellent. Very sturdy for their weight and size. I highly recommend them. Although, ask me again after next winter. I have nonidea how the weather will affect them. I believe they will last many years.

This gate is exactly what I needed to keep out my new puppy it works perfectly. It is so well made, I could not be any happier. My new puppy could climb right over my old gate with the design on that gate and this one he has nothing to climb as it is straight up and down. I had my handyman install this gate and it took him no time at all. Love it!

I've been using this for about 3 months now and am overall pleased. I'm using it as a gate for the stairs that lead to my front door (I live in a split level) to prevent my dog from dashing out the front door and it's worked well so far. I like that it is adjustable and extends across the entire width of the stair opening (as opposed to other gates that have side-panels and a narrower opening in the middle) and that there is no bar at the bottom (trip hazard).There are a couple of areas for improvement:1) Opening the gate is a rather fussy process. You have to press down and then pull up and then swing it open. I still find myself unintentionally yanking harder than is necessary, because otherwise you risk not unlatching it cleanly. I'm not sure why it can't be a simpler design as in other gates where you just press down on the button to unlatch. Maybe that wouldn't be stable enough for a one-piece design such as this, I don't know, but it's a bit annoying.2) Partly due to issue #1 (having to yank on the gate to get it open), if you install this into drywall the included drywall screws/anchors are pretty useless. I used them the first few weeks and they came loose every few days, causing the gate to subtly separate from the wall and thus not shut until I re-tightened the screws. I finally just ordered some drywall toggles and once I installed those the problem was essentially solved. They should absolutely be included with the gate.So it's not perfect, but overall I'm satisfied.

We have had this at the top of our stairs for a month or so now and so far it has been toddler-proof… even with her grabbing the gate and pulling during a tantrum! I wanted something that would be easy to open and not a tripping hazard when I’m going up and down the stairs with my hands full of groceries, laundry, kids… and this does the job wonderfully. I also like that it swings open or closed at the 45 degree mark.

I'm using it for dogs and it works fine. It's a little annoying to have to lift the gate a bit but the dogs will never figure it out or be able to do it. Pretty easy to install.

The media could not be loaded. This is Awesome. Easy to Install, Quality look & Feel. I think this will work great. You grab the top of handle and squeeze it down to unlock, then have to also lift the gate 1/8"-1/4" while squeezing the latch to get it to open. So I feel like it would be Very Hard for a toddler to open. We were concerned about our 10 month old Boy going down the stairs. This feels secure and sturdy. Looks versatile with adjustments. They send a barcode link to watch install videos which at first was confusing because there are so many models and we didn't even know what this one was called. The paperwork manual of course had that info. It was packaged well and safe. My only complaint would be the annoying warning sticker. They stuck everything else with zip ties why they had to put an ugly warning sticker that we didn't try to remove till after installed. That actually took longer than setting it up.The gate can swing either direction, but on the top of our stairs it would hit the top of banister of opening towards steps. Which works great because we did t want it to open towards the stairs. If opened 90 degrees it can stay open anything less it ramps down to automatically shut. That's if it gets enough momentum. I like it.
