Recently I bought a mini 500 Watt Hot Plate, to use with my stove-top expresso machine, because I realised it was likely wasting a lot of electricity using the hob for such a small item.It worked out really well, so I decided to try it with other small pots, since I'm often heating small portions.I was unsure if any company would make such a small pot, and was happy to come across this mini pot from WMF, which though expensive, is very well made, and should last a very long while.It fits perfectly on my mini hot-plate, as you can see in the pictures above. It's difficult to show how small the hot-plate in pictures, but for reference, the hot plate base is 13cm square, and the hot plate is about 10.5cm diameter. Since the base of this pot is chamfered, it's just the right size.I use it frequently, for soups, vegetables, small packet meals, noodles, and reheating things.It's efficient, easy to clean, and works out great for me since I can eat directly out of the pot! It does look cute as well.I can't find any fault with it, it might be useful for anyone who is often making small portions of food, and I imagine for camper vans or travel.I also bought a Tognana Vanitosa, 1 Litre 12 cm jug pot, which fits and works perfectly too.

Ideal size for one person or 2 at the most. Effective and perfect quality as usual with WMF

I’ve been using them for a long time and they’re still in good shape. Nice size for meal for one to three people.

A quality pan. It’s a bit bigger than I thought and wanted it to be but I’m pleased with it.

Super tiny and smaller than I thought, good for one person portion for soup reheating.

When my microwave packed up it took me so long to decide to what to replace it with that I never bothered in the end I then came across the problem of how to cook ready made meals in packages unsuitable for the conventional oven.First I bought two oven-ware glass dishes which proved a disaster so replaced them with two of these metal pots. They are the optimum size to each hold an individual casserole portion e.g. a curry. There is no steam vent in the lid but as its loose fitting it cooks the decanted portions well. The food stays hot when taken to table and placed on a suitable trivet.The instructions on the box make no reference to dishwasher compliance so I hand wash them after giving them a bit of soak.Its all a bit retro.

This is a great little WMF pot. I was looking for a not-too small pot to make a decent quantity of sauces, gravy or perhaps a small amount of side-vegetables. We already have a cup-size WMF pot as well, but that just wasn’t big enough for many purposes. This 12-cm diameter one is perfect. It fits very well on our gas hob.This matches our WMF kitchen ware collection very well. Being for the continent I got a strong preference for his trusted and stylish German brand, that is virtually indestructible and dishwasher-safe.You pay up for the quality. But i believe that that is completely justified.
