Has everything from identifying guide, to photographs, to maps, to detailed descriptions, to biology/genetics. And yet in a handy size. How had I not known this existed? I guess as neither garden centres nor bookshops care about seaweeds, despite much of the UK population living within 2h drive of the coast. It is a landmark classic authoritative useful guide.

I love the lay out... it is easy to navigate even for a beginner like me.

This is the perfect book for helping you to spot the different seaweeds and super-informative. Who knew there were so many different types of the same seaweed. I shall treasure this book.

Finally I can find information about my founds while wondering around the shore!

This is surely the best book around for identifying our beautiful seaweeds around the UK. Beautiful photography and loads of detail it’s an invaluable resource.

Good photos and information however the font is minuscule

Having only just started getting into seaweed, due to a volunteer role I have now taken on, my thirst for knowledge is vast. I started with a little pocket guide but that was leaving me frustrated. This guide is fantastic and gets me to identification quickly. Whilst it's not a pocket guide, it is easy to carry around and a must for any seaweed enthusiast.

A unique and very informative book on this rather niche subject
