White C7 Replacement Sockets for Christmas Lights, Compatible with SPT-1 Wire Strings - 25 Pack

Got these to repair a Christmas decoration. The original sockets were brittle and falling apart. The installation seemed straightforward...but no directions or suggestions on install. I knew how they were supposed to work. I installed one, plugged the decoration in and...nothing. After ruining a few I checked YouTube. They have to be seated fully. After fixing that problem...success! I replaced several sockets (correctly) and they all work. The decoration, which is no longer made, has new life. I got 25 sockets for $9.99. Locally they are $7.00 for three sockets. Great value.

Dislikes: noneLikes: works fir what I need them for, replacement sockets on strands with bad sockets, to create a small strand of these sockets, for some strobe bulbs that I am going to place inside a snowman I purchased on Amazon. This will be to give him a little sparkle effect when needed.I am also creating a lot of single bulb socket and cords for pathway lights that are tied together, but are not suited to my use when they all light at the same time, I need to control each pathway marker (candy canes) or (ghosts) independantly of each other. I use specialized equipment to do this in my Holiday Displays with lights set to music.So these sockets help me to modify my Holiday Decorations to function in a way I need them to be.And I'll use them for some Halloween, Christmas or other Holiday themed props.These were perfect for what I needed them for.If you need replacement C7 sockets for a light strand with bad sockets or a Holiday prop, these may work for you.These DO NOT have the metal butterfly style clip, they have a roof or gutter type single clip. You need the metal butterfly clip type for blowmolds, Jack-O'-Lanterns or props, where the bulb and socket is inserted through a round hole in the prop, as these sockets WILL NOT work in this case.

This product stood up to it's value. It was a easy fix.

We have four topiaries, two RV awning light strings, and five Christmas tree light sets, and sooner or later some sockets will need to be replaced. A package of these is great to keep on hand for just that time, and a bag of them is much less expensive than replacing the whole light string. They look and feel exactly like the original ones and attach the same way, piercing the cord to make contact so they can attach anywhere along the cord. You can even use these to make your own, and space the lights anyway you like.

These sockets are extremely hard to connect to the wire. I found that I broke two or three that I managed to get connected intact. OK if you have no other options, but I’d look very hard for another product first

Work and fit as they should

These sockets are as the seller describes. Unfortunately they do not fit my light strands. The sockets are too small and they won't clamp on my wire. It turns out there are C7 bulbs that are 5 watts and C9 bulbs that are 7 watts. There is SPT1 wire and SPT2 wire. Same gauge but different insulation thickness and thus different width and height. I needed C9 sockets for SPT2 wire not C7 sockets for SPT1.

The sockets worked excellent in my lighted letters.
