Q: is it the same as bondaweb?

Interfacing is either sew-in, or fusible (meltable 'glue') on one side. The fusible has one side which is a mesh of fibres and used primarily to give a single piece of fabric a little extra body and strength. The mesh side is not fusible. Bondaweb (or WondaWeb) sticks fabric together; like double sided tape on card or paper. It is durable but will wear with each wash because it melts entirely to form the bond. You can get this in wider sheets too I believe; for bigger projects. Great for temporarily turning a hem.

Q: Can I use this in the middle of two fabrics to join them together?

No. You can only fuse it to one side. However, you can fuse it to one side, with fabric right sides together sew round then turn inside out? The interfacing would then be sandwiched in the centre but only actually fully fused to one side. Hope this helps.

Q: I am wanting to add this under the heading on each section where the eyelet will be cut out on voile--will the heat needed be top hot for my fabric?

So far I was using it only with 100% cotton fabrics thus I have tested it only with the hottest iron setting. Worth to check with the producer what minimum temperature it is working with.
