The book is simple and straightforward. The author introduces her own unique methods for interpreting the cards and encourages her readers, if so inclined, to do likewise. It’s important to understand that Tarot reading is not immutable – on the contrary, it is a malleable tool which works differently in different hands. The author also dispenses with astrology and the qabbalistic symbolism found in the RWD to introduce a more elementary deck of cards which, bereft of any of these aforementioned arts, can give the reader free range to experiment and explore multiple ways of reading the cards without worrying about planetary correspondences or superfluous symbolism.I wish that Helena’s book had been the first book I ever read on Tarot when I started out years ago. If you’re a beginner this book is for you, if you aren’t the book still offers much insight and thought into what goes into a tarot reading and you’re sure to learn something new. And even though I’m personally a big believer in astrology, I understand that some people who aren’t may become overwhelmed by seemingly excessive correspondences, especially when starting out.Sulayman and Asma

I highly recommend this to all Tarot lovers! It’s a fantastic and concise way to look at the Marseille deck when we have all been using the Rider Waite system religiously!

I love how I can sit and read this book without getting lost in the amount of details that other books on tarot have that sometimes gets you overwhelmed. This is more straight to the point for tarot. I love this book, I highly recommend for anyone staring or even experienced readers.
