DEFECTIVE & USELESS!
As the pictures show here. I have an old putty knife/scraper (8 in 1)and used it for quite a while and it was really sturdy. this one, on the other hand, looks like it will be good for only one job, providing it was the way it should be, but unfortunately, somebody cut on quality control and as the picture shows a big part of the roller scraper/cleaner is pretty rough and scratchy, so instead of preserving your rollers it'll just destroy them. so one of the main uses of this tool is dead and it'll be just stupid to have another tool just to clean the roll. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Great for popcorn ceiling removal
Magic. I was crazy enough to decide to scrape popcorn ceiling on my own (after receiving crazy quote from a painting company). I read on Pinterest a lot and finally realized I need a tool like this one. I am so happy I got it! After wetting my ceiling, this little tool helped me get popcorn ceiling of in the hard to reach places like corners and around the lamp. For the big flat areas, I used a different one. I am pretty sure I will make a good use of it when it's time to even out some of that ceiling and paint. If you plan a project like this, do yourself a favor and get one. Here is a pic of ceiling before and after. The tool itself looks as advertised so I am not uploading it.

Dont use hammer with this
It has a tiny spot weld holding the back cap on. Look at how small a weld holds it on. It didn't last 2 months. I really didn't hammer it hard or many times. I'm surprised how shortly it lasted. I also hated that the sticker is put on with glue that is so hard to get off. Why does it need to be put on with super glue? I would not recommend.

They just don't make things like they used to
I loved this when I first got it. My boyfriend had an old one he's had since he was like 18, so it was super worn and a little bent. When we decided to remodel our half bath, it seemed reasonable we got a new one. It was beautiful and shiny and sharp, we loved it. Up until a few days ago when the bottom part broke off.According to the product description, "the brass-plated, solid steel nail setting head can be used for setting drywall nails and other hammering jobs". Well I'd have to disagree. The brass plate fell off and there's nothing solid steel about the nailing head. As you can see from the pictures, there is a flimsy thing t shaped piece to hold on the brass plate. We haven't even had this 4 months. On the other hand, the other uses of the tool seem to be fine. "One convenient tool with six uses: scraper, spreader, gouger, putty remover, paint roller cleaner and nail setter." Just don't use it as a nail setter and you should be fine. As for me, I'm going back to using our old one since it is obviously better quality.

This should be included with rollers
I'd never seen one of these till I was watching a youTube tutorial about painting. I can't believe how much paint you can scrape off a roller with this tool! It saves so much paint and so much time trying to rinse paint out! Plus I've used the scrapey side to scrape paint off of surfaces that I've gotten it on and didn't notice till it was dry. A+ little tool!Maybe someone can tell me what the other 4 uses are?

Terrible quality. No longer a recommendable tool.
Item arrived with a chipped blade (over a quarter inch missing), which should have never made it beyond quality control. The handles are poorly fitted to the tang, oversized and not flush, so dirt and debris will be collected there, making cleaning unnecessarily difficult. The hammer cap isn't even close to one, as it's plastic with a plastic stem. A few strikes with this and it will shatter. This tool used to be well made and the go-to for many, but now it's borderline useless.Amazon provided outstanding customer service upon notice of the damaged item. They sent a replacement immediately at no charge. Still poor quality, but undamaged.

Did I miss something in the description? Factory seconds?
This review is for the 6" Flexible taping knife- This thing looks like a factory second! If I was at the hardware supply, I would have never have chosen this particular knife. There are gouges and dents in the metal that looks like the factory tried to unsuccessfully grind and buff out. The overall buffing of the blade makes it look like there is waves in the metal? The handle fit is better than the Red Devil 4251 6-in-1 Painter's Tool that I received, at least there are no gaps in the plastic. On the good side: The bend or curve in the blade is on spot! This review is for the Red Devil 4251 6-in-1 Painter's Tool. If I was at the hardware supply, I would have never have chosen this particular knife. It is smaller than I remember it being. This is not the least bit sharp, I am going to have to throw this on the grinder to get it sharp. I kept my last one razor sharp. The handle needs to be sanded to get rid of the uncomfortable edges at the seams, kind of sharpish. Yes...my last one was "Red Devil". Now that I have gotten that out. This particular style of knife one of "My Top Drawer" tools while I was a cabinet builder. It was used for trimming, wood filler, window filler, small repairs, stripping, removing tape and sticky things, paint, edge banding trim, laminate trimming when a router was unnecessary. The uses were never ending. It was used, abused, and put away dirty!Edit: The handle still bothers me. The fit between the plastic handle and the tang of the blade is awful, gaps where the plastic should meet exposing the tang of the blade that will get packed with plaster, paint, glue or whatever. My old one did not have that defect. Oh, and another thing, the metal on the hammer end looks like the same metal used on my Buzzy Decoder Badge I got for free when I was a kid. Does not fill me with confidence. I have already used this or I would be returning it.Both of these will get replaced when I find a better.

May not be genuine product
no sure this is a genuine red Devil product as there are a number of inconsistencies. First it is made in Vietnam, second the handle is very low quality and has a sharp edge where it sandwiches the blade in the middle. Therefore when you are using it on a stubborn item you are literally cutting your hand. The blade seems thinner then the original product and has some sort of resin coating on it, as you can see the runs of the resin on both sides of the blade.

Beware! Plastic Handle
Terribly disappointed! The handle is hollow plastic, which is not suitable for a hand tool. I would not recommend buying this particular tool at all.

Not impressed for the price....
Read reviews and product seemed good but looking at it---not so much! Seems to be a chrome dip and they either didn't do the edges or this is a plastic product with shiny skin on it. The handle feels like cheap plastic. For $17, I could have bought 3 real cheap ones. Stay clear from this brand!

Perfectly good tool
There's lots of tools like this out there, but this is about the best I've used. It's got some heft to it, the edges that should be sharp are, and ones that shouldn't be aren't. This is a replacement for the first one I bought, because my son "borrowed" it.
