DC Cargo Tow Dolly Basket Straps with Flat Hooks | 2-Pack | Car Wheel Straps for Auto Hauling

JUST RETURNED FROM 5000 MILE ROAD TRIP HAULING 2 1954 HUDSONS USING THESE DOLLYS. THEY PREFORMED AS ADVERTISED. WE HAD NO PROBLEMS. THEY WERE EASY TO PUT ON AND KEPT THE CARS PERFECTLY ALIGNED. WE CHECKED THE TIGHTNESS AND AFTER THE FIRST 2-3 TIMES DID NOT HAVE TO TIGHTEN THE STRAPS AGAIN. NO WEAR WAS SEEN TO THE STRAPS AFTER USING THEM. WE USED 2 2PAK UNITS.

While I agree with another reviewer that the straps should wrap around and be double sewn for extra security, I must also say these straps are way easier to work with than the straps that came with our Master Tow dolly. We towed for 14 hours with them over the weekend and they do a fine job.

Got these and was surprised they were adjustable. Used them over the weekend to tow a car from North Carolina to Missouri. Only had to adjust the tension twice in over 1200 miles. The ones these replaced would have to stop about every 200 miles and adjust.

This is the second set of straps I have purchased for my tow dolly. Much lighter than original set and the proper length. and width. These straps did not stretch too much and I only need to stop and retention the straps once or twice during a 200 mile trip. Only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is the durability of the tie down hooks. Two of them the latches dented and the springs no longer automatically latch close after you hook them on. I had to use a screw diver to force the laches shut. The metal needs to be made of a heavier gauge steel.

Was on a trip to Iowa and when we got there the straps that we had on our tow Dolly were significantly frayed. Ordered these on Amazon and went about our vacation. About 2 days later they arrived and work very well. Maybe even outlasted the original straps and some other replacement ones I bought for our Dolly....

The strap material itself seems fine. However, the way the straps are constructed seems designed to fail. You'll see from the image the yellow straps are sewn in place and do not loop around the holding strap. The consequence of this is that as soon as you use them the stitching starts to come apart.Compare this to my original black straps from Demco and you'll see the difference. The cross straps fold over the holding straps and are then sewn back on themselves. This means that the stitched area is very stable and does not come apart.You cannot see this design flaw in the product images.I purchased these thinking, "tow dolly straps are tow dolly straps, right? I have only used these twice and already the stitching is coming apart. I do not feel safe towing my car at all now and plan to throw them out and buy properly constructed straps from the manufacturer of the dolly, Demco.

Did not stretch after initial tightening of straps during a 2500 mile trip.

Just returned from my first trip using these straps. I have used straps that have fit better but these fit well enough. Wasn't sure how well they would hold up because they didn't seem to be very heavy. For my first trip I was very pleased, they held up well and are showing very little actual wear after 1500 miles. The best feature which I never had with other straps is that they never needed tightening after first being put on! I usually stop after 5 to 20 miles to tighten straps again but these were always tight and never needed to be redone! I would recommend these would purchase again!
