Perfect for hiking
Bought these for my hiking trip to Acadia and they were great! Wore them right out of the box and got no blisters. These are my first pair of hiking boots and I’m really happy with them. I went up half a size and they fit great. Highly recommend to any beginner hikers!

Can’t beat Merrill!
This boot is comfortable right out the box. I had to go one size larger than my usual size. I purchased these for hiking in RMNP later this year. Love love the falcon color sort of Beige/Taupe with a splash of light pink which I love for me!

I sized up for the right fit 👍🥾🥾
The media could not be loaded. After a week of shopping online for a pair of boots 🥾🥾, I went with these. I wear a size 9. Sometimes I can wear a 8.5. It just depends on the shoe. I'm a Hoka walking shoe fan. I like the Koka brand because they are heel to toe walking shoes. I can't wear shoes that cause my toes to shoot to the toe of the shoe as I walk. I read reviews that these have a slight heel on them. Yes, they do have a heel. They did exactly what I hoped for. They walk heel to toe. So walking heel to toe is good for me. Amazon suggested I size up to a 10 based on reviews of these boots running smaller. I did order the 10. I'm glad I did. The boots fit perfectly. I took an old pair of my Hoka inner soles and added them to the inside of the boots just for extra cushion. They fit good. 👍 They're made well. So many brands are running smaller due to being made in so many different countries. It's really hard to know what will fit anymore. If it weren't for the fact of the suggestion to size up I would be spending time doing so many returns. Thankfully I took the advice.👍Update: 5/12/2025I wore these in Alaska and they were so comfortable. I'm so happy I bought them. 👍 I didn't even have to worry about breaking them in. They kept my feet warm and dry. They have good support.

Not comfortable for long hikes
I have worn several different styles of Merrill boots and shoes so was excited to try the hiking boots. For me the boots are good for short hikes but after longer hikes my feet hurt. Would not recommend if you enjoy long hikes

Good quality
I love these boots. I took them on a 3 hour hike and climbed rocks and went through streams. I felt like I had good grip on slippery rocks and good ankle support. I loved the color-way that I got!

Arch/insole Off
First I note that these boots are very well-made and would be great hiking in snow or rocky areas. However, the insole /arch area in the boot came more to the back of my heel than it did to the middle of my foot/boot, making it extremely uncomfortable. I thought by taking out the insole that was in the boot that I could put in my own insert and it wld be fine, but unfortunately it’s just how the boot was made. I returned them. As far as size I am normally a size 9 wide and I went up to a 10 wide and they fit perfectly with thick woolen socks.

Love 'em
My wife loves these. She wears orthopedic inserts and her foot doc recommends Merrell.
