Strong and sturdy
These are extremely strong. I can open these up but with some difficulty because they are so well built. I have some 5 x 7 rugs that are heavy (oriental type) and cannot put in washing machine. I used to take to the “quarter” car wash but as everyone knows, even that has become expensive. I have a power washer so I thought I could clip these rugs onto a wooden fence and power wash. I needed something that would not only hold the rug but hold the rug soaking wet. These do it wonderfully, with no slippage.

Price was good but overall quality was not great.
I was hoping these would be better than the cheapest versions. Price was good but the overall quality was not great. They serve their purpose and work okay but they're a little flimsy compared to others.

I don't think you can have too many of these
I became enamored of these types of clamps years ago building a wooden dinghy as they allowed layers of wood to be curved and molded together nicely using epoxy resin. Since then I have used them on everything from automotive projects, and general home repair jobs, and most recently - and the reason I needed to expand my collection - was securing a bunch of tarps over some larger plants for protection during an unusually severe freeze event. The clamps themselves are nice working and nice looking. They have the right balance of tension / stiffness and still ease of use. They don't seem prone to easily corroding. Full marks!

El Perfecto!
My spring clamps were ordered on Monday, 14 January 2019 with a delivery date of Wednesday, 16 January. The mail carrier didn’t deliver anything on the 16th so I called the USPS and was told s/he couldn’t access the mailbox, driveway or door. Bovine scatology! Well, they came today, the 17th. Still pretty amazing delivery time. Just what I wanted! The ones that stay in my truck were rusted, re-painted and the plastic tips were long worn out or pulled off and lost. Gorilla tape did just fine for years, but even that gets worn down to the metal after constant use. I read the negative comments about the tips coming off easily and sure enough they do, not unlike the ones that cost five bucks apiece. Five minutes with a frosty malt and some Gorilla two part epoxy and all eight are fixed. I only needed four, but now I have a lifetime supply. Ok, they don’t open to three inches either, but I was pretty sure that was going to be the case; two and a half inches maximum opening is more than I am ever going to use anyway. More than that will require a much larger type of clamp. For what I was looking for, these are perfect and I’ll put them in my will for my next of kin to inherit because they’re going to outlast me.

Great Value And Large Quantity
I use these to hold down mdf when gluing to wood frame.. These open wide enough to fit over 2" frames and 3/16th mdf.

Used during hurricane winds to hold tarp to a canopy and they stayed put!
I do craft fair and flea market events with a canopy. I purchased these clips and some tarps to make walls on the canopy (for rainy weather). The first weekend I used them, we had hurricane force winds. The tarps stayed in place with these clips. Unfortunately, the awning didn't make it...the wind tore it down. My point here is that I will trust these clips to hold when I put them on every time. They are a bit stiff to squeeze open, which I expected as this is what helps them hold in strong wind.
