97 lefty Epi CSB LP fixed
Cold out of the case, OEM bridge PU no output: found de-potted and shorted to ground - was time for replacement. Great quality; shielded 26ga-5 conductor leads, vintage tone & appearance nickel and direct replacement fit. Ohm' d out exactly as spec'd. Included very clear polarity/termination diagram for correct installation. Significant tonality/sustain improvement over OEM ceramic PU's. I used .023uf poly caps in both positions. Very clear definition in both positions. Treble position is not tinny bright requiring a tone control adjustment when playing clean. As well, both pick-ups sound great together its not always this way. Very impressed at this price point. Came to me in a little 2"x 2"x 4"L brown card board box containing properly ESD packaged components. Big brand name PU mfg's should be aware; passing advertising & marketing and packaging cost on to customers/players today is not going to get them revenue when I can purchase a product of the same or better quality for a quarter the cost and get it just as soon. Note: I did not feel comfortable checking the box for "easy to install". So I must say; If don't have the correct tools, or your not confident or comfortable in your mechanical disassembly, electrical diagram reading, and soldering skills I would recommend taking these and your instrument to a "professional" music shop for correct installation the first time. 2hr install

Very decent pickps
I have installed these pickups in my Ibanez G10 that I had completely reworked and refinished. I was a little skeptical at first, but, why not try? Anyway, the result was very positive. The pickups have a nice and warm sound, they tend to deliver a lot more treble sound, that is, they provide a lot of high frequencies, especially in the bridge pickup. This is kind of obvious, several Dimarzios and Seymour Duncan do the same, depending on the model you select. If you use both pickups at the same time, the result is a very smooth and clean sound which is also very nice with some overdrive. Each pickup, when used individually, has a different gain, very brilliant. My conclusion: it`s definitely worth trying them, they are an excellent choice for a guitar player that does not want to spend $200 bucks in top branded pickups. The result may not be the same, but the overall sound yo can extract from these pickups is pretty cool.

My new favorite pickups!
About a year ago I transferred my old Iron Gear Pickups (which I like very much) out of this guitar and into a new Les Paul that I had just purchased. This guitar has been waiting for a set of pickups since that time. These were so affordable, I figured they were worth a try, and boy was I right! They are on par with my other favorite pickups (the Tesla Shark from Iron Gear, which are supposed to be a knock off of Seymour Duncan's Slash pickups). The construction of the Ascendas HZ5 is very high quality, and I love the fact that it comes in a simple cardboard box - no money wasted on BS packaging that I would just dispose of anyway. I do wish they would have provided a link to their website so I could check out their entire product line. I have several guitars and there's always something I need.Anyway, these pickups have a rich smooth sound when using them in double coil mode and they chime wonderfully when I switch over to the coil splits. If you're reading this and you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry about it. If you don't have your guitar wired for coil splitting pickups, you won't be using this feature anyway. The point is that these pickups can do it if you want them to.When used in the standard humbucking mode, the tone is nice and creamy on the neck pickup and bites just right on bridge pickup. The sound never gets muddy. I love these things!

Phenomenal pickups especially at this price
These pickups far exceed any expectation that you might have for something at this or any price point. The build quality is second to none and I have actually done some online research and found that there was an individual who completely dismantled a set of these and actually discovered that they are built to a higher quality then actual Seymour Duncan pickups!!( which by the way they sound almost identical to) for being a budget-friendly option I did not expect them to come with a wiring color code chart however I was pleased to find a nice very legible well printed one inside the package. They are four conductor wired pickups which means that you can wire them 4 different applications such as coil tapping. Honestly the only negatives that I can point to for this product would be the fact that you will most likely have to put up with the lytc control logo on each of the pickups ( however a quick Google search we'll come up with a lot of different methods for how to get rid of them if you so choose, I did this to the neck pickup only) and the fact that the unboxing experience could be a little more upscale with a nicer presentation but for the price you really can't ask for too much more than what you're already getting because the quality of the build and sound is unparalleled

Neck pickup a joke
I used these to replace PUPs on a 1994 Fender Squier Series MIM Tele. Didn't play it much, but neck pickup always seemed to lack volume. After reading the 1 star review, and now having the proper equipment, I tested both neck and bridge. Bridge was 7.6K, but neck was 3.4K! No wonder it sounded like I turned the volume down to half way when switching from bridge position. Replaced the neck with the original, 27 year old pickup, and lo and behold, tested at 7.3K and is equal in volume to bridge. Suggest you test these prior to installation, as there is a serious quality control issue here.

Don't trust the wiring diagram.
First off, the sound is good for the price, bot great. The wiring diagram was not correct, and after checking my connections several times, decided the problem was with the pickups. Pulled out the trusty multimeter and sure enough, the start and finish wires were reversed on the south coil on both pickups. Quick fix if you know what you're doing but very frustrating to have to troubleshoot a new item that is expected to work out of the box.
