Great protection
I live at elevation and I bought these to give my tomato plants protection against frost. So far, they have protected the plants very well against hail and chilly temps. I did worry that the weight of the kozy coats could crush the plant if it ever fell on it so I placed it on the outside of a tomato cage and that worked great. It obviously creates a warm environment, which you can feel if you stick your hand down in on a warm day. My tomatoes are growing quickly and look very healthy.

Saved my tomato plants
It seems that every year when I am ready to transplant the plants I started from seed into the garden, a windstorm comes through and I am at the store purchasing tomato plants due to mine being damaged. This is the second year that I have used this product. It is primarily designed to prevent freeze damage but, when filled with water, is very heavy and shelters young plants from the wind. I am very pleased as I planted 5 plants late last week and wind came through today that would have damaged them.

as advertised but ...
I got these so I can get my tomatoes out in spite of cold night time temperatures. Easy to its end fill up. It would be better if there was a side opening option to get it off the plant when you no longer need it. Also my plants has some leaves that were inside the red and they became fungal because they couldn't t breathe.I cut of the damaged stuff, removed the red thing and they have done well. They are well made but very pricey. I would buy a cheaper product if I could find one for next year...too expensive when you are r=aising a dozen tomatoes.

keeps baby plants warm & safe
the delicate tomato plants are very happy in them, safe from frost & the constant wind. it's been a whole week and they are already peeking out the tops. this year, we might get past the green tomato crop. it's a little tedious to fill the walls, chamber by chamber. in retrospect, i think you could fold down one side of the wall and dunk them in a tub. i'm hoping they have sufficient UV resistance so i can use em next year.

Chambers leaking water
I was so excited to use these in NE to get an early start to my tomato’s. I ordered these back in Feb. I set them up this week. I have 4 chambers that leak water. Yes, they should still work but not as sturdy and when I buy something I expect them to be like new and not leak. Disappointed customer.

These things really work.
I ordered two different kinds of these plant protectors. One from Park seed, and the other from an unknown seller. The park seed protectors are far better than the other, cheaper brands. They stand up, where the others collapse on top of the plant. They cost a little more, but they're worth it.

Keep plants warm but hard to fill up
The good news is that they do prevent the plants from dying in the cold weather. However, I took a star off for two caveats:1. I'm not sure that the plants were ultimately producing any earlier. They survived, but they weren't really thriving until the consistent warm weather arrived.2. These things are hard to fill up, and while you're trying, you can accidentally spill them and soak yourself, and/or risk smushing your plant by accident.
