The UPS works & seems to work very well. What else can I ask for or say "at this time".Now if you ask me a year or two from now, THEN there should be more info. on how long the batteries last.That has been one of the major problems I've had with UPS's. The one I use for my puter only had the batts. last 2 years before I had to replace them but that was NOT a Liebert either.

I have worked in server rooms for over 20 years so I'm familiar with commercial Liebert UPS systems. I had high hopes for a home unit. Alas it was a disappointment. First of all, it wasn't programmable by the standard protocol used by some APC and Cyberpower units, so I couldn't use it for the linux server I'd planned to attach it to. I put it on second-string duty with my Rennai tankless water heater. It did save the me the indignity of losing hot water one night when the power went out while I was showering. Worked well. But the batteries died after only 3.5 years. I've had other brands of UPS go well over 5 years, with one getting close to 10 before their batteries needed replacement. (Yes, I did force it to do a few minutes of a discharge, a few times a year, to jog them.)I decided to replace the batteries with a couple Powersonics psh-1280s and hope they will last much longer. It is the heaviest UPS of this class I've ever seen without its batteries, having a huge transformer in the back. The circuitry and wiring look really good compared to the innards of some other UPSes I've opened. So I think it's probably well made, they just decided to skimp on the batteries supplied with it. I look forward to seeing how long the better replacement batteries last.

I have this unit powering a home server setup in a small rack for my office. We have occasional power fluctuations at my home which requires me to have a solid unit that can take the workload of protecting the equipment, and this has been one of the best I've seen. My runtime during power outages is roughly 48 minutes, which is more than I expected honestly. The unit is quiet, has a clear and easily read display, and overall I'd say it's one of the better ones I've had. We'll see how it performs after a year but so far I'm impressed.

I am writing this review in the hopes that the mfg. or seller will compensate me in some way , I purchased this product in July 2017. It has been in operation for 6 months Recently it has begun clicking at random as if it is reacting to a loss of power , there is no loss of power it does it nearly constantly for minutes at a time multiple times a day sometimes for hours , once in a while it just shuts off. I have reset it checked connections , I am an electrician and have checked the voltage with a fluke multimeter and it is fine (117 volts with minimal fluctuation , phase angle correct). At this price 6 months seems an awful short useful life cycle. It's been quietly sitting there for months and barely gives off heat. I heard the relay click before my lights went out. The power recovered and I began writing this review. It has sense cycled 2 twice and is no out (has been for a couple minutes). My computer and monitor are pulling about 550W right now and I can't tell the difference except for the beeping. It seems to have 4/5 bars of battery at this point. I'll update the review if the power stays out for awhile.

It works fine for momentary power interruptions. The don't yet have software to shut down a Windows 10 machine. I bought in OCT. of 2017. Currently they still don't have Win 10 compatible software. It shuts down my computer immediately after boot.

Seems perfect. The shutdown software was intrusive with the standard configuration, and shuts down the server immediately, rendering it unuseful. May be user error. Have had several power outages since purchase, and worked flawlessly through all.

We ordered "Liebert 1500VA 900W LCD UPS Mini-Tower Battery Backup & Surge Protection, 3 Year Warranty (PSA4-1500MT120)" on July 22, 2017.This Liebert PSA4 worked, but after ~2.5 years battery died, so Liebert 1500VA started to beep and turned off.The Liebert seller sent us a new device Liebert PSA5 1500VA.That new device lasted until now (May 29 2022) - for about 2 years.My conclusion is that Liebert's 1500VA battery lasts for 2-3 years.Other UPS-es I used (such as APC and CyberPower) lasted much longer.
