Evaluation of PCIe SATA Card 4 Port (perfect for Mac Pro users)
I have thoroughly evaluated the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port. The purpose of this report is to provide you with an informed assessment of the card's performance and address the key features and benefits it offers.1. Overview:The PCIe SATA Card 4 Port is designed to expand the SATA capabilities of a computer by adding four additional SATA ports. It aims to provide an easy and budget-friendly solution for users requiring additional SATA data ports for their system.2. Installation and Compatibility:The installation process for the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port was straightforward and hassle-free. The card can be easily installed in an available PCIe slot, making it convenient for users to expand their SATA connectivity. Furthermore, the card is advertised as being Mac-compatible and has been verified to work with the Mac Pro 2019 model. This compatibility is highly advantageous for Mac Pro users who require additional SATA data ports, even if they have the Promise j2i caddy.3. Quality and Performance:The quality of the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port appears to be good. The card's performance meets my requirements and provides the necessary SATA connectivity for my setup. It enables the connection of additional SATA devices such as an additional drive I seated in the Promise J2i enclosure.4. Usage with Dual M.2 Card:Another notable benefit of the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port is its ability to provide data support to a dual M.2 card that requires a SATA connection for NGFF. This versatility allows users to use one of the SATA ports for the M.2 card while simultaneously utilising the card itself to ensure optimal performance for their NVMe drives. This feature is particularly useful for Mac Pro users who need a SATA data port while maintaining high-speed data functionality.5. Recommendation:The PCIe SATA Card 4 Port, it is recommended for individuals seeking a budget-friendly solution to expand their SATA capabilities. The ease of installation, compatibility with Mac Pro 2019, and the ability to support SSD drives make it a recommended choice for Mac Pro users in need of additional SATA data ports.

Riser rig de minage
Je les utilise sur un rig de minage, la qualité est très bien et n'ai eu aucun soucis sur les 6 risers, ils répondent niquel et aucune perte de puissance

It really is plug and play!
This type of device causes many people many problems due to firmware and driver issues. But this one worked as plug and play into a PCIe slot. Great. The built in controller is a much used brandso all firmware is already there. The SSD uses standard Windows drivers. I was surprised at how easy it was to set up and how stable it is.

A surprisingly little SATA controller that fits in a 1x slot
New CPUs and new motherboards increasingly come at the expense of fewer SATA connections and dwindling numbers of full-size expansion slots. This leads to a revival of the small 1x PCIE slots that used to be overlooked, but that now can be put to good use. I used to have a few 1x cards in my box that gave me 2 SATA connections for when main board SATA connections were disabled, or too few of in the first place. When I found this 1x PCIE card that brings me SIX SATA connections, I had to order one, especially because they are cheap. The board is pretty with an all-black PCB and a matching black bracket. A low-height bracket was in the box, along with six decent-quality SATA cables that could easily set you back more than $20 if bought separately.Testing the card with industry-standard CrystalDiskMark brought a positive surprise. I expected some performance loss due to the single PCIE lane the card must work with, but the opposite is true. A run-of-the-mill 1TB Crucial SSD connected to the SATA adapter actually clocked in 13 MB/s faster on reads and 42 MB/s on writes than when connected to the on-board SATA controller of my x570 Taichi motherboard. While the better write speed is within the measuring tolerance, the increased write speed deserves more research. As for very large hard drives on that very tiny board, I was a bit worried because one reviewer says that the card cannot handle his large drive. That turned out as fake news (or possibly pilot error.) A 16TB Toshiba HDD works with the small SATA adapter just like it did with the motherboard controller. The reads and writes are within the measuring tolerance. The only drawback: The little heatsink on the controller comers off easily. I reattached mine after adding some thermal paste for extra stickiness.All-in-all, this is a very nice little board, and it really comes in handy.P.S.: Also check out the new 1x 2.5 GBE network controllers. I wish they would sell 10 GBE ones.
