I liked the idea of three sets of pens - brown, black, and multi-color - at a reasonable price, even knowing that they could not be refilled like rapidographs or other drafting pens. I realize, however, that I was not thinking about the shelf-life of these pens. On the day I received them, three of the brown-ink pens were already dried out and had to be discarded. This led me to test ALL of the pens immediately. Happily, the rest of the pens (total 25) work fine, and I'm hoping they will, when tightly capped, maintain a reasonable ink supply.UPDATE:I talked with the company about the brown ink pens and they agreed, without any hassle at all, to replace them, telling me they had improved the pens. I received the new pens in the mail and THEY ARE FANTASTIC! The ink is rich, dark, and flows smoothly. The set of pens comes in a great newly-designed pencil case (with zipper) that is compact and useful. I recommend these pens for anyone wanting variety, good design, and a reliable product.

these are what i ordered/ i thought they would be average size, they are short
