ONCU - Hot Pepper Paste ( 700g ) - Öncü Acı Biber Salçası

I used for jollof rice and african chicken stew. Came out perfect. No need to cook down tomatoes

A Rick Stein inspired purchase. I bought this rather than Biber Salçasi because I thought it would be less spicy. It has more of a kick than I was expecting, not unpalatable, but still tickles the back of the throat. A word of caution: that 700g jar is larger than I envisaged. It ended up going mouldy in a very cool fridge. If I buy this again, I'll freeze half of it.

I used it in so many foods and i still have half of jar left. It's very intensely flavoured, pretty bitter actually and at first that put me off a little bit. But that's the thing, you only have to use a couple of teaspoons and the food tastes like peppers. I use it in soups, stews, pasta sauce, pizza sauce etc

We used this salca in Turkey and loved it. Happy to have found it here in the UK. We are really liking having it available. Not cheap but came quickly and is good quality.

Thought this looked like ordinary tomato puree but when you add it to the pot wow it makes a difference - so rich! Lovely and ordered more

Bought this for a really exorbitant price. I opened and made a good meal with it. A week later I went to use it again and the jar is full of mould. I bought it and was delivered on 7th May, used it on the 12th, its the 23rd now and I am going to have to throw it away. Complete waste of moneyI gave it one star as there wasn't an option for no stars
