No handle on the bottom
On receipt, Suitcase looked fine, and the telescoping handle seems durable and fluid, and the wheels are a smooth ride, but the bottom of these suitcases have no handles. I read an article somewhere saying that when your suitcase has no bottom handle, baggage handlers have no choice but to grab your suitcase by the wheels which leads to faster broken wheels. In addition, for the last 10 years, my suitcase lifting has been made so much easier and more convenient getting suitcases in and out of the trunk and in and off the scanner belt and scales in the airports because of those bottom handles that my old suitcases have. Why would they make a suitcase, and am expensive suitcase too, without bottom handles in 2021?

First class Carry on from SwissGear
Checked bags fees are $30 bucks. I used my carry on one trip so far and saved $60 in checked baggage fees. One more trip and it’s paid off. I was able to fit a weeks worth of cloths, all my hygiene products, and a few items purchased on my trip. Great investment

Broken zipper on first use—Amazon, are you listening?
I gave my review 4 stars so more people would read what has really happened to a number of buyers of this Swiss Gear suitcase. I bought this suitcase for a Christmas gift. Upon first use (after the return window closed) the zipper broke & the suitcase fell open (& everything fell out) right in the middle of the airport. The breakage is obscured inside by the strip of fabric that is part of the interior lining. This is a nearly $200 suitcase that was used once & then it broke. Wouldn’t a responsible manufacturer reach out to the 20 plus people who wrote the very same review? Wouldn’t Amazon notice the negative reviews because of the zipper issue, or Swiss Gear respond by telling us how to fix it, or even mention a warranty that goes beyond the 1-1 1/2 months return window?

Good case, but arrived dirty and used
I have both the carry-on version and the 24" checked version. After a lifetime of mis-matched luggage it was time to have a nice set! I like that these have the 8 wheels instead of just the 4 for durability. I like the built in TSA lock. I also like the interior storage that comes built-in with these cases; which is helpful if you're moving from location to location frequently during a vacation. I expect that the carry-on version will last a very long time, but I'm not sure about the checked one. There is no grab handle for the base and the case itself isn't light. You won't want to overload the 24"+ sizes or it's going to get damaged. My main complaint is that the case arrived filthy from sitting in a dirty warehouse. It also arrived slightly "used" from someone who chose to return it. People, if you are going to return an item, put it back the way you received it. Someone else is likely going to get your "used" item in the condition you returned it. Failure to do so means that the karma gods are going to make the wheels fall off you luggage from henceforth.
