So the product is made with vanillan, which is an extract of the vanilla bean, but the stuff is not made from real vanilla bean. It's a process, but it makes it cheaper.But the wording.The way that the box reads basically gives you the impression.It's made from real vanilla.Nothing's wrong with it, especially if you're using it for cooking. Because all the alcohol will evaporate out and give you that vanilla taste, depending on which product or who's manufacturing it and what you're used to will be. How you decide on how you feel about the taste.. This is coming from a person with experience who uses a lot in manufacturing flavors for drinks. The percentage of alcohol is too high (or at least tastes that way). Not a very rich vanilla experience.
