Easy to use, water tight, electrical feedthroughs
Quality: The strain relief, electrical feedthroughs are water tight and well constructed. The body, lock-nut and sealing-nut are made of durable nylon. The two gaskets are made of rubber.Functionality: The strain relief fits through a standard 1/2" hub electrical gang box and secured with a rubber gasket and nylon lock-nut. The wire feedthrough has a clever design that constricts a rubber gasket as the sealing-nut is tightened.Longevity: Unknown at this time. Longterm, direct sunlight and ozone exposure may degrade the nylon and rubber.The NPT 1/2" unit fits a wire with an outside diameter of 6 to 12.5mm (0.236 to 0.492 inch). In my case, I had a wire with an O.D. of slightly less than 6mm and needed to wrap the wire with several turns of friction tape. For about $10 you receive 10 feedthroughs, which is a good deal in my opinion.
