I got this for my boys nursery, and I could not rave anymore about it! The ease of this is amazing. Also, it doesn’t play a loud sound when trying to read the temperature which was a must for me being that some thermometers do a loud beep before their reading.

As someone who lives with multiple chronic illnesses and chronic pain, I needed a thermometer when I recently became sick and my old one had stopped working. I've had good experiences with Braun so I bought this thinking this one would be the same way. It's been showing me as having fevers close to 103 for over a week now. I went to urgent care because at that point I'd been sick for 2 weeks and was still showing as having a fever between 102-103 daily. I CAN NOT GO BY SYMPTOMS because I have so many symptoms from my chronic illnesses that any infection I get is often discovered as an incidental finding while doing a test for something else. I was put on two different antibiotics by a very concerned urgent care that couldn't find anything wrong with me except maaaaybe a mild UTI. After having an allergic reaction to one of the antibiotics I had to start a third one. While I do still have a low grade fever, it's in the range of 99-100 (my normal temp is 97 something) rather than being 102+. This thermometer is well over 2 degrees off and has resulted in a lot of unnecessary medical interventions. And then I find out the company won't allow the product to be returned. I'm highly tempted to never buy Braun again, and if I do, it will have to be the super expensive thermometers that I can't afford.

After going through what felt like 20 thermometers we landed on this one and it is by far the best combination of easy to use, kid friendly and accurate. You do need to keep the plastic caps on hand but not a big deal knowing that it is going to work.

I recently purchased the Braun ThermoScan 3 and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Not only does it meet my expectations, but it exceeds them. The quality is superb, and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into its design and construction. I’m so satisfied with my purchase that I would absolutely buy it again if needed. Moreover, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is in need of a baby thermometer. Overall, it’s a fantastic product that delivers on its promises.

This is not an accurate thermometer and I had to return it. It said all four members of my family had fevers, and gave a different temperature with every use. An accurate oral thermometer showed that none of us had fevers. The worst part is the covers- they are super sharp and uncomfortable around the edges and made my autistic 6 year old cry because she said it hurt her skin.

I bought this to replace another Braun ear thermometer that I lost. I tried several other thermometers over the years & every time regretted it, because the reads were not accurate. This one is accurate (compared with readings from my kids’ doctor office & inpatient at our hospital), & it is SO quick! I purchased my previous Braun ear thermometer 15 years ago, while pregnant with my first child. It worked reliably the entire time, & wasn’t especially slow, but I was caught off guard by how instant the readings are on this one. Would definitely recommend, it’s worth sticking with this brand for the consistent, reliable readings.
