Great chain
This is a top-tier chain. It's light and quiet and shifts smooth. I do a lot of climbing and regularly check the chain for stretch each week or so with a chain checker tool and it's holding up just fine. Installing the chain was a cinch with the Powerlock link. So far so good. A good investment for the bike.

Great replacement
Easy install, make sure you have the tools to remove chain links for right length.

Great chain priced right
I needed a new SRAM cahina as mine had stretched. After talking with friends -- I chose this model. I know that anything that moves on the bike -- there is friction involved. This chain was easy to install -- well after removing about 6 links which was a slight pain. The magic link is great to connect the chain.First ride out we rode the Chain of Craters Road in Hawaii Volcanoes National park. The chain was quite -- shifted flawless on the new SRAM cassette using Dura Ace. So far .... I think this chain is excellent and glad I made the choice. Of course, I've completed only a few rides under 30 miles since the install -- yet no complaints at all.

Quiet!
I've always liked SRAM chains, both the mountain bike and road bike versions. I've had pretty good luck with the SRAM PC-1090 and PC-1090R. They seem to wear reasonably well and I've never had a PowerLock connector fail (unlike some of the competitor's master links). The only downside to SRAM's previous chains was that they were a bit noisy! I wasn't expecting the SRAM PC-1091R to be appreciably different from the previous incarnation, but I was pleasantly surprised: the new chain seems to generate quite a bit less noise than the previous generation! It won't make your SRAM drive-train Shimano-quiet, but it gets it in the ballpark. A nice upgrade over the previous model and well worth the price!

Up to the task? We'll have to see.
Like many, I found the OEM chain that came with the SRAM Force group to be lacking: it was noisy, didn't shift all that smoothly and wore out quickly. Acting on a tip, I swapped it out for a Dura Ace chain with good results. Then SRAM introduces their 1091R Hollow Pin chain saying it's the cat's meow. Okay, I needed a new chain (this last D/A chain wore out in record time - fifteen hundred miles - what's with that?). I think, "If I can get a decent deal...".Got a decent deal through one of Amazon's vendors. Recevied the chain quickly, put it on and, the next morning, went out to ride a hundred miles in the sort of heat the Midwest is known for. This chain is quiet and shifts smoothly and promptly. They say it's light. That's good, as long as it holds up. I would've given it five stars were it not for one thing I haven't figured out: I now frequently toss the chain off the high side when shifting from the small ring to the big ring. No deraileur adjustments were made going from one chain to the next. But now I have to be careful when upshifting. Will work on that. Other than that, it's all good.

Very happy
This replaced my aging stainless steel Wipperman chain. I like this chain a lot. It shifts great on my Ultegra triple setup and is very quiet. My only complaint is with the master link. Hard to get on and requires a tool to get off. Get a pack of 6 KMC master links when you buy this chain. They're cheap, they work great and they don't require bleeding and cussing to get them to work.

Huge difference
I bought the 1091R chain to replace a NEW 1091chain Running on a SRAM Force 2.2 50/34 GXP Crankset. The shifting with the type R chain was infinitely better than the 1091 (Non R) chain. Both chains were brand-new and without any other changes or adjustments to the bike, the 1091R just shifted much much smoother. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this chain to anyone running SRAM cranks.

Quality
I went big and splurged on this chain rather than buying the cheaper more basic model. A chain is a chain right? Well, I can say that I've actually noticed this chain to be quieter than my last. I don't understand how or why but it just is.SRAM makes quality chains. The original chain I replaced was a sram, and it had a twisted link that I hadn't noticed. Thinking back, I guestimate that I put over 1,000 miles on that twisted chain and it held. It worked so well that I didn't even know it was twisted! So having experienced that, I put full faith in the quality of sram chains.
