THE NORTH FACERecon Everyday Laptop Backpack, TNF Navy/TNF Black, One Size

I used my old North Face Slingshot backpack for nearly 18 years, so it was time to upgrade. I always liked the design of the Recon and chose to purchase this backpack. I've never seen the navy backpack in person, but since it's my favorite color, I pulled the trigger. When I received it, I was surprised by how nice and sleek it looked. All the compartments were thoughtfully designed and are practical. The soft material they used for the interior of the front compartment is perfect for phones, glasses, and other things you want to keep safe. The backpack was bigger than expected, and is more than adequate to carry my everyday work items. The straps are comfortable and sturdy. The external fleece-lined pocket is a huge upgrade from my old Slingshot strings that could only carry clothes. I don't use the buckle straps, so it does look a little sloppy at times. However, you can adjust them so they're not in your way. The bottom of the backpack looks durable and it's very unlikely any holes will form in the future. Since my old backpack lasted so long, I'm confident this one will last longer. Overall, I think it's a quality backpack and I'm getting more than I paid for.

My son had this backpack since 2018 and now it is so old and I got him a new backpack with different color. He loved this dark blue and liked the new style. It is very comfortable, great quality, beautiful color, reasonably weight and perfect size for school and travel.

Kept a laptop dry in Alabama rains and still looks new after a year in the dorms.

This backpack weighs over 3 lbs unfilled. The laptop compartment is really nice, well padded and convenient. The downside is that it limits the size of the main compartment for packing travel items. I would definitely recommend the pack for buisiness and student packing but for day pack use, there are other choices tthat work better. The North Face gear is very stylish and well made. I am glad I made the choice to own this pack specifically for traveling with a PC.

Replaced my old work bag, scored it for $60. Very nice and comfortable. Not much organization except for front admin pouch but fits maxpedition pouches nicely.

This is a perfect backpack for students, not too big but roomy enough for all their books.
