Affiliate Marketing on the Web
I am trying to catch up with changing America. I have purchased 4 books concerning affiliate marketing on the web and I am learning to communicate with my grandchildren."Affiliate Marketing on the Web" arrived promptly and in great condition. I was satisfied with the service I received and this purchase was exactly what I expected.I love purchasing books from Amazon and their affiliates because it's easy, cost effective, prompt, and followed up to see if problems developed.Keith B Enger

Badly organized with little info
This book is badly organized. For starters much of it points to information in prior books of the author. The author also commits an entire chapter describing how the book is laid out. Also the author repeatedly states that he won't waste time trying to convince you that affiliate marketing is a good idea and then spends several pages arguing that it's a good idea. The examples given are also weak. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because it did provide some useful information, though I had to wade through 3 chapters first before finding any. I finally gave up on this book and gave a cheaper one a try. It turned out to be much better. If you're in the market for a digital book on this topic try Affiliate Programs: How to Make Money Online with Other People's Products by Joel Comm instead. It gives you just enough info to get you going in the right direction and is a much better value.

So Far So Good
This book seems to have everything you would want to know about marketing on the web. I have been doing it for the last 5 years and love it. This book title caught my eye so I had to add it to my libary. So far, what I have read, seems to support the title in full.

I highly recommend this book
I just got finished reading Affiliate Marketing on the Web. Having been in the Internet Marketing business for almost 10 years, I must say that this was one of the best books I've read on Affiliate Marketing from both the merchant's and publisher's side. If you are looking for a book that gives you specific recommendations and pros and cons on which type of affiliate program you are seeking to deploy or participate in, this is the book for you!

A reasonable introduction but needs editing
If you are completely new to affiliate marketing, you will appreciate the overview, advice, and pointers. For me the book was way too basic and was not polished (lacking solid editing) like I expected from a book available on Amazon. It promoted a few affiliate management software products which felt salesy and out of place. I agree with the comments that the content switched back and forth between being an affiliate and running an affiliate program for your site. The book was OK and serves a purpose, so 3 stars is my review.

Affiliate mkg
it was much too hard to understand and put into practice; had nothing to do with the website I was publishing thru another group; I had to go by their rules, and learn as I go; perhaps I'm just too olde for this nonsense....

The INCOMPLETE Guide to Affiliiate Marketing
If you run a company that has a product that you want to sell through affiliate marketing, this is the book for you. It has a tremendous amount of great information about setting up and running such a program. If, on the other hand, you are someone who wants to market someone else's products, this book probably isn't for you. Yes, the book does mention those of us who want to get into that side of affiliate marketing. But that's about all. There is a small chapter that sort of discusses that side of the business. But if you want nitty-gritty information about how to get into the business of being an affiliate, you'd be better off looking elsewhere. Gardner's "Make A Fortune Promoting Other People's Stuff Online" is much better for information about marketing as an affiliate.
