Save yourself big bucks!
If all you need is a new plastic cover with the keys, then this is your easy, cost-saving solution. I lost some of the plastic symbols that you push to lock and unlock the car door. The computer parts inside the fob were fine. All I needed was the new plastic case. If I would have gone to a dealership, they would see me a whole new fob for over $300. I called a lock and key company and they quoted me $120 because they said I needed the special key recut. Instead, I bought this new cover. Took the computer and battery from the old and put it into the new cover. Used the original cut key. It took me 10 minutes. It works just great.

Cheap yet effective
It’s simply a cheap plastic case that is durable enough to last and functions like a regular key fob once put together.

Very similar to the OEM
Similar to the Honda brand key fob cover in weight & quality. Also similar in the buttons being difficult to line up correctly. The case comes with the mounting board which you will not need if you transfer the mounting board with the device board & battery from the old fob cover.Make sure the rubber key backing has the little nipple lined up with the dimple in the fob cover. This assures that the rubber is in the correct direction.Make dure your battery is in the correct location, or you will not be able to put the back cover on.Transfer your original key into the fob cover.

Great if you’re missing a button!!
I can’t believe this worked! My truck and remote start buttons fell off my key fob and I haven’t been able to reliably use them for over a year! I took the innards out of my fob and put it in this and now I can use all my buttons again!! I was kind of annoyed I couldn’t find any video on exactly how to do this (not even on youtube!) but I figured it out!

Pretty good
I used this to replace a cracked button on my factory keyfob. It worked great and seems to be almost identical to the original. I just took the button out, installed it in my factory keyfob and it looks and fits and works fine.

Perfect replacement
I had a 2019 Honda Ridgeline keyfob with a broken button. I just took the metal key out of the fob, stuck it between the tabs on the open end of the fob and twisted it to disconnect the two halves of the existing shell. Then I put the circuit board from my old key fob into the new shell and snapped it shut. Then I threw away the "blank" key that the new shell came with and put my old metal key into the slot/hole in the new shell. It's good as new. Looks just like the original. Keep in mind that this is just the shell itself. It's not like some of those other key "covers" that you see out that that basically wrap your existing key fob in some kind of decorative casing. This is just the shell itself which is exactly what I wanted, and is harder to find than decorative covers. You could still use one of those colored or rubbery covers if you wanted to since this is just the same size and shape as the original key fob. I would recommend this product.

If you don’t have original motherboard, battery and physical key, this will NOT work for you.
I read the description of what came with this item, so it worked for me! I saved my original motherboard, battery and metal key and switched it into this shell. The quality of this shell is lighter than my original Honda key, I also had issues with the auto start button and trunk button (they fell out when I was trying to put it all together) it was bit of a hassle getting it back together. Not the best but, we’ll see how long it last. Works for now and was a quick fix for the price :)
