Excellent Experimental Platform for Evaluating Li-Ion Battery Performance
Kit included everything except batteries. Nickel strips spot-welded reliably and are adequate for continuous use at about 200w level. BMS board works as described. The finished product is NOT an exact replacement for a 12v SLA (sealed lead acid) battery even though the physical form factor would suggest such, but the 12.7v terminal voltage is ideal for various 12vdc computer peripherals such as switches, routers, and hubs that one would like to power directly from a battery source. Very useful item. I purchased several, and will do so again in the future.

Poorly translated directions may confuse most
Just put it together and it will work. Use extra plastic cement (not included), (do not eat) on the case lid as to lessen the chance of letting the smoke out

Fitment is off
The nickel strip doesn’t line up with the 18650 holder so you’ll end up needing to buy some or make your own. I also noticed that the cells for the positive side don’t protrude a lot so you would have to push the nickel In a bit to get it to make a connection but with that being said it seems to be a solid little kit for a battery pack.Update: even after grinding down the plastic there are edges that push up on the nickel so the weld lifted which is not good if you wrap the pack in shrink wrap because then you’ll have to do twice the work to fix it. This kit is decent but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else and I can’t return it because I grinded it.

Price is Right too bad it doesn't work
The problem with the product is you have to weld the nickel strips to the board but the case doesn't have clearance for the board neither does the plastic grid that is intended to hold the batteries. What this essentially means is when you go to put the batteries in the case it will Rip the nickel tabs off and disconnect the battery or cause a short. The product is a serious fire hazard. Do not purchase

Adding the batteries to these can be dangerous, but if you know what you're doing you'll be good
You'll need a small spot welder to connect the batteries but overall this is a very good kit.

difficult DYI project
It was nice to have everything you needed in one package but the holes in the plastic pieces that hold the batteries were to small for the batteries. I had to modify them to get the batteries to fit. I used standard 18650 batteries. 3.6V 2500mah. Some batteries would fit but most had to be really forced and a few wouldn't fit at all. when you got the batteries in the holder, it caused the holder to warp and wouldn't hold its shape. Finally got it all together but it was highly moidified.
