Easy fix when the oven stopped working.
My oven stopped working, but the broiler, and top burners still worked. Thus, the oven Igniter was the problem. After doing a google search for the correct part number, I purchased this replacement, and watched a YT video showing the repair process. It was pretty easy to swap out the part, no fancy tools required, and I was back to making pizza in under an hour. With the money I saved on the repair, I can buy a couple pizza steels and some Wisconsin brick cheese.

Works great
Compatible with my GE oven model CGS990SETSS. Turns out the deflector on this model has a defect where the metal above the igniter melts from the heat of the igniter, then dripping molten metal onto the igniter and breaking it. So I had to cut a big ol hole out of my deflector.Installing the igniter itself was easy. And it’s been working great the past 2 weeks. Hoping this lasts longer with my deflector fix.

Frustrating Experience and Poor Durability
I have purchased the replacement part for my GE oven igniter four times now, and unfortunately, each time it has failed to last more than 3-4 months. Despite the relative ease of installation, the recurring issue has made the entire process not worth the trouble. I've learned this the hard way, and I want to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. What's particularly disappointing is that the company claims a 1-year warranty on their website, but my attempts to get a replacement have been met with unhelpful responses and what feels like game-playing on their end. This lack of customer support further adds to the frustration. In an effort to find a lasting solution, I've decided to invest in the OEM part, even though it comes at a significantly higher cost. I'm hoping that the increased price will be justified by the product's longevity.I feel it's important to share this experience with others, not only to vent my frustration but also to serve as a cautionary tale. When a company falls short on both product durability and customer service, it's crucial for consumers to be aware.I strongly advise potential buyers to consider alternatives or invest in the OEM part right away to avoid the hassle I've faced. I'm in the process of exploring other options, and I hope this comment reaches those who may be contemplating a similar purchase.
