If you're anything like me and you like to put dollar bills in with the extra change, the counter still would work for that, not the conventional way but it has a plus sign on it or you can add as well as a minus sign where you can subtract whatever you take out.It's really easy to use. Two Triple-A batteries go on the base of the lid. You need a screwdriver to open it so if you're giving this to a child, you don't have to worry about that as a huge hazard. The reset button is also on the face of the lid. You won't accidentally press it because it's deep set within the lid.To turn it on comma you either start inserting coins or you can press the plus or minus Keys down for 3 seconds. These Keys also Aid if your amount changes. If you add bills like I mentioned earlier, you can press the plus sign to get that amount in there or if you take money out, you can hit the minus sign and it goes down by one penny so you just press that as many times as the cents that you took out.The fact that it was just makes it that much more fun. It's an added night light in the house that requires no electrical energy, which is even better for the pennies being saved. It's really cool and I'm so glad we have it. I had no idea we had this much change in the house! This coin jar counts the change accurately and you can add or remove money with the +/- buttons on top. My jar just doesn't glow in the dark.

I bought two of these banks for my boys' Easter baskets. It uses the coin's size to determine its value so a movable bumper in the coin slot will slide wider to accommodate larger coins. This does make it a bit of a challenge for my toddler to insert his coins without them shooting back at him but, with practice, he's getting better at it. Dollars can manually be added to the amount shown by using the buttons on the lid. The glow isn't super bright and if the jar hasn't received any sunlight that day, it doesn't glow at all. Both boys were very excited about their "money banks" and are thrilled at the prospect of adding to their current stashes.

Pros:It is completely accurate for every currency it's advertised for from penny to dollar coins.However, it stopped keeping the total count after a while so what's the point?Cons: The spring mechanism is so tight that it makes it difficult for children to put the coins in the bank which is generally what this kind of device is geared toward. I have to give it a decent amount of pressure even as an adult.There was marring of the silver paint in areas on top and bottom of the counter.The glow in the dark effect seems to be a small tinge of glow. Huge disappointment, I have to get a different one.

Great color. Shoots the coins inside. Counts accurately. Super fun and easy to use. Bought it for my little brother and for thr family so we can track the amount accurately! It will confuse coins from other countries though, so be careful. Overall, perfect product. The container isn't glow in the dark though. It's thick enough. It isnt flimsy. You'll be fine buying this. It's great :)

I bought this for my money-smart son and he absolutely loves it! The battery lasts a very long time due to the fact that it's only on when you drop money in. Wonderful tool!
