Tkemali Cherry Plum Sauce for Meat, Grill and Barbecue 300g/10.58oz Traditional Georgian Cuisine by Kinto (Mild Hot)

Made a Ukrainian stew with this. I poured it over the meat and stew vegetables and let it simmer all afternoon. I'd never heard of this traditional sauce before, but it was quite delish!

My Eurasian friends were astounded, We made Chakapuli.

Tasty, what little I was able to sample. Unfortunately the item was not packed well and broke during shipment. Amazon did a good job with refunding, however.

I was expecting something sweet, since it has "Cherry Plum" in the name, but it tastes like dill pickle juice, which is OK with me. It's nicely and securely packaged, and the vacuum-seal lid was pristine, so it's NOT a matter of the product being spoiled, and I enjoyed some of it right out of the bottle. Now I need to know how it's used in cooking--meat, vegetables, or something? I have no idea at the moment, but I can see it complementing something, perhaps pork, beef, or chicken. Perhaps some vegetables? I have no idea, but I am happy with it--just need to discover what to do with it. One possibility is to use it on hamburgers instead of thinly sliced dill pickles? I lived in Georgia (US) for a few years but I think it's the other Georgia. it's more like Heinz 57 Sauce or A.1. Sauce.
