Q: Can this be used outside on a porch in the weather?

The cold will not hurt it (mine have been outside on the porch for several years, but my porch is covered), however I would not allow the wet or icy weather to cover it. They are beautiful, but real fabric which could be damaged by water.

Made in China. But it is well made and I have it for 3 Christmas without any problems.

Yes, it is about 7.5 inches wide at it widest point. The base is about 7 inches wide.
