ESV Journaling Bible: A Guide for Helping Teens through Anxiety and Depression

The media could not be loaded. I was looking out for a journalling Bible online and that is when I stumbled upon these Bibles (As of the time when I am writing this review there are many similar options available on Amazon, different coloured covers, single double column, covers with/out artwork, etc. - almost all all of them by Crossway). There were a few bibles but they weren’t in the English versions I preferred, I was extensively looking for either NKJV or ESV.I have been using this for more than a week now so here is my honest review. I hope this helps taking an educated decision for the buyers.Firstly the size of the book is not very large and secondly the journalling lines also take up space so understandably there is a compromise in the font size (7) here. For me it is okay, but for some it might be a challenge.Also one more thing which I realised when I started using this, is that it is a double column version which essentially means that there are 2 columns in every page, which should be okay generally, but for me I realised that I have allocate the first half of the lines to annotate/comment/journal/note the first column and the lower half to second column. I would have preferred it the other way one column of text surrounded by lines for notes on either side, but it boils down to preferences.One more thing to note is that this is not a study Bible where you get ready references, resources, maps etc. You may find some introductory texts about the books in the end of the Bible and a yearly study plan. But nothing in detail. I find it extremely convenient, as my intention is to study and make the notes and references on my own. I have a few study Bibles for that purposes.The package arrived on time and in excellent condition. I should give full credit to the seller.Conclusion: Completely satisfied with the purchase and this one is has already replaced my old torn ESV bible which I had been using for over 14 years.I hope this review is helpful. This Bible is beautiful, there’s no other words for it! It’s also extremely easy to interpret and understand, there’s notes at the bottom of each page with text to explain in layman’s terms what each of the scriptures mean and it even provides some historical context for additional understanding. I love it and it’s helped me so much with my Bible studies. I highly recommend it!! This would make a beautiful gift for someone.

It has so much great extra information on general info on each book as well as info about things mentioned within the verses! I’ve learned so much! Plus it’s super cute:))

Amazing version and the font is large enough.

The one star is for the commentary, not the word of God. Whoever wrote the commentaries for the prophetic books and the revelation and a part of the other books of the bible, has never really read the bible and doesn't know God's word. I am so disappointed and after reading through the half of it this bible went into the garbage. What did the authors think? I am a woman but I studied the bible for years and I am a christian who tests everything with the word of God . Worse commentary I ever did read.
