Top to bottom is 9 inches side to side is 3 inches front to back is 7 inches

It's supposed to allow a trickle, this keeps the temperature stable. If you shut the water off completely, when you restart the flow you will get a "slug" of sold water

You can definitely shower with it remaining in the wall mount
