Parker Brothers Risk 1998 Board Game with Army Shaped Pieces

This risk game is a classic! By far the best one they have made. Reasons:1. Easy to use. 2. The characters are fun and realistic. 3. You are not limited to playing just One version of the game. You can play the classic version, missions or the new fast way where the first person to conquer 3 territories wins. It's your choice! Unlike the other ones that tend to take one or more of these options out of the game entirely. Bottom line, it is a great game to spend quality time with your family&/ friends and have fun I the process. It is one of the must have games for everyone

I got this as a present for my fiance who claims this was the BEST version of RISK in his opinion. They were SO expensive, though! I found a gently used one through this dealer at a GREAT price - best one on the web and couldn't pass it up!! He LOVES it!It was shipped quicker than expected and was packaged fine so there was no damage in the shipping. It was just as described and the board was PERFECT and NONE of the pieces were missing (which was my main concern).

So, I specifically ordered (and paid) for the $61.00 version of this game (6 player, 1998 addition) and I get the $23.00, 5 person addition from Hasbro.I almost didn't order it because of the negative feedback on other versions (this had 7, 5 stars rating so I thought I was safe).I order so much stuff on Amazon, I guess I was due for a snake job....DF1

The game was almost brand new and in excellent condition! We discovered there was one country card missing but with the impeccable condition the game board, pieces and cards were in, we can't complain one bit. This was the exact version of the board game we were searching for and we couldn't be happier with it!

This item was used, but we knew that when we purchased it. We wanted the original classic game, which this was. All parts and pieces were sent to us.

After a previous purchase of this game i was skeptical, seeing as they sent me the wrong edition with no dice, missing pieces, and broken pieces. It was a shame because it was a gift for my husband who has been searching for this game for quite some time.So i contacted the seller of this one and he was very pleasant and understood that i was looking for this specific one. he assured me that it was the correct edition and all pieces were there, and upon the games arrival i was thoroughly pleased!

This is a game for people with patience. It's fun and exciting. Try to conquer the world. This particular edition is much better than the newer ones. The pieces are nicer and it's the game I remember playing as a child. Not like these new editions and gameplays that keep popping up.

This is my first time playing Risk as a board game (I used to play a computer version about 10 years ago) in 25 years or so. This is just like I remember it. There are newer versions of this game, but from everything I can surmise, I would say stick with this game if you want something that approximates the version that was around in the 80's.
