Solid craftsmanship on guitar body, tuners reflect price.
**I'm referring this Guitalele as a "guitar" due to standard EADGE tuningI bought this guitar to practice on a more comfortable and forgiving guitar compared to full size acoustic guitars, as well as to make less sound when playing at night in a shared living space. This guitar has met these expectations and produces a nice, quieter sound that is good for what I need. The craftsmanship on all the wooden parts from the body to the neck of the guitar look and feel great reflecting a higher price point than this guitar sells for. The action is decent with no significant fret buzzing; the string action is slightly higher on the high notes than a quality electric guitar but not very different compared to most classical acoustic guitars. I have not attempted any changes to the truss rod at this time, assuming there is one under the cover by the tuners.Initially the instrument wasn't keeping tune very long, however after a day it is holding tune better than before and it may be the strings need to settle.Despite great craftsmanship on the body, the quality of the tuners reflects the low price of the instrument. At least one of the tuners feels like it turns slightly incrementally instead of smoothly, though I haven't added lubricants yet; I can't tell if something is too loose or tight. The string can still be tuned right but the tuner doesn't have the best feel. The tuning pegs have tiny screws at the end of them; I attempted tightening them due to previous concerns and I was able to tighten one of them slightly, however most tiny screws appear stripped and are difficult to service. The guitar is tune-able as is but tuner pegs screws may be difficult to service in the future.Overall I think this is a good choice for the price point; I am giving the guitar 5 stars in regards to the price being less than 100 dollars at the time of this review, as it is playable and looks/feels nice. If the guitar costed more I would be review it lower to reflect the minor tuner deficiencies.

Great for trips and on-the-go
Awesome.Exactly what I was looking for.Just a small sized, light classic guitar. It sounds ok, but not much better.I didn't buy it assuming it'd sound great, but it is sturdy enough for trips, looks great, and makes good music in the right hands. The kind of guitar you'd be eager to bring to your trip with friends, instead of afraid it'd get broken and scratched.

SOUNDS GREAT!
This had much better and fuller sound than I expected. Really quite nice. has strap buttons - note that if you want to put your strap at the headstock, the shoelace they provided won't really fit beneath the strings the way mine was set up. Can't complain about the quality on this. Only surprise was - having never played a guitarlele before - the neck is actually slightly WIDER than my full size acoustic guitar (?!) - I was hoping for narrower because I have small hands... but such is life. Nice portable size, really pretty. Solid tuning pegs. The bag I received is different from the photo, with just a small flush pocket instead of the big round one, and it didn't come with the little black zip bag shown in the picture, but the instrument quality makes up for all of that. Definitely recommend it (unless you're trying to get something with a narrower neck than your regular guitar, in which case this is not the thing)

Amazing sound & accurate everywhere!
I went to Guitar Center several times since buying this guitar looking for a larger alternative and nothing that I've played sounds quite as nice surprisingly. I even ordered a classical guitar on Amazon and the tension of the strings were too different between all of them some of the strings didn't sound as loud small things that I didn't know how to fix but this guitar came perfect I love how it is e to e and not a to a as well. Highly recommend it and I wish they made a larger size guitar because I would absolutely buy from them maybe one day they will

Great for price
Bought this for my traveling guitar for a recent Park City ski trip. Been playing regular size guitar for 20+ years (I'm 71). This guitar is small but that makes it easy to put in the overhead on the airplane and all around convenient. The case, of course, isn't hard shell but is of great quality and has 2 straps on the back. Had no problem getting my arms thru and carrying hands free to allow me to push my wheelie and carry my x country skis. The gut strings should be replaced with light metal if you want to get a better sound but out of the box it's just fine for what I needed. Played it every night for a week accompanied by Jack Daniels and another guitar player. He had a Taylor traveling guitar which sounder a bit better but was over twice as expensive. This one Worked perfect for me. You need to get used to everything being on a smaller scale but that took 20 minuets and then was off to the races. Really like it and the price point was just right.

Just Buy This - You Won't Be Sorry!
Wow, What a nice little instrument! The value received is outstanding. Great accessory package. The guitalele that landed on my doorstep has marvelous sustain, well constructed, well set up, no rough frets, no buzzing. Wide enough nut to strum my standard acoustic folk songs, or fingerpick classical pieces. Strap buttons already on, and a strap included, which are perfect for me. I just might sell my Journey travel guitar and use this one instead. I'd have to upgrade the case to take it on a plane, but the lightly padded bad is great for regular car travel.

Great
Great little instrument. All my high school students steal it all day long. I have to take it home to get to use it. It is easy to pick up and has a great sound. Very playable.
