No, I've an 15" laptop and it's alittle too long.

Q: Will it fit a Lenovo T480s (14 inch)?

I don't think your laptop will fit. My laptop is 15" X 11" Lenovo. It is not even close to fitting. The bag narrows at the top and that causes a problem when trying to fit a laptop. I would have to say no. I do love the bag and use it as my airline personal item carry on. It is a very secure bag.

Q: Does it have a strap connecting the two main shoulder straps across the sternum? Shoulder straps tend to slip off my shoulders without them.

There is no strap connecting the two shoulder straps, but there is only a 1 1/2" distance at the top- on the back of the backpack- between the two straps that are sewn into the pack. I'm 5'6" and it seems pretty secure on my back. I also have rounded shoulders.Hope this helps!
