Educational, informative, and great program..Worth the Read!!
I was lucky to receive the pre-publication manuscript for Young For Life. I was previously a big fan of Fit For Life and for many years had always gone back and forth thinking this was the way I was supposed to be eating to stay thin and look youthful, but as I got into my late 30s and now my early 40s, eating a lot of fruits and veggies during the day wasn't giving me the satisfaction of feeling great. My body was able to deal with anything in my 20s...but over time, my body changed. I was bloating constantly in the belly, I was tired, I was putting more carbs in my body, which were turning into sugar and was gaining fat and inches. I was never a true vegetarian because I ate fish and chicken and no red meat, usually at dinnertime and always had a craving for processed carbs which was my addiction. I was happy when I found Marilyn on Facebook and started reading her manuscript to learn what my body truly needed. I have always been a health conscience person and known by others to be a health nut. I have always worked out, but a lot of times felt I was starting over because my life is busy and I can't get to the gym everyday. YOUNG FOR LIFE has changed my life. I say "life" because it has changed my ways of thinking and following the program outlined in the book has helped my body change for the better. Yes, Fit for Life was a great book and I too did the program, but things change over the years, information changes, people change, and our bodies change. I can let go of the beliefs I once had for FFL and be forgiving to that. If FFL works for you, then continue, but YOUNG FOR LIFE is an educational book updated with information and research. It worked for the author who wrote YFL and her brilliant new partner, and they are here to share that what worked for them...can work for you too. They explain what made them want to write the book and they wrote it to make us aware. Homework was done and practical and well-researched suggestions are made. This program works for me! You too can find out if it works for you, I guarantee a lot of it will. This program of great nutrition and exercise made me a new person in only three months...trim, toned, smaller size, great abs and arms, spiritual, happy, calm, inspired, feeling wonderfully younger, and, best of all, forever freed from my maddening carb addiction. YFL is a very well written book. I loved it and highly recommend reading it.

This book is a revolution!
The book "Young for Life" could not have come into my life at a better time. Approaching fifty, I was overweight and out of shape and tired all the time from a lack of sleep. I had tried every new diet that came out with little to no success. Fortunately, I was invited to be a part of the "Young for Life" test group and was given a new lease on life. After following the simple food and exercise plan I have lost 37 pounds and added years to my life. I sleep better and have more energy than ever before. I've cut my clothes size in half from a size 16 to a size 8. I started with making changes in my diet and doing the Isometrics and Isotonics exercises, and then moved on to working out at the gym. I love using the machines to shape and tone my body. I have never had any kind of muscle strength before and can feel the difference from the inside out. I eat what I want in moderation based on what I have learned in "Young for Life." In sharp contrast to how I used to feel, I now feel happy, healthy and alive."In answer to the reviewer Heather Mamatey who says she wanted to love this book but it contains nothing new...just another low carb Paleo Diet....In my opinion, she could not have read the book, if she is saying this! There is no Paleo diet I know about that lays out the dangers of the two silent killers, Nutrient Deficiency Disorder and Sedentary Death Syndrome. None offer the correct path to supplementing with the 5 nutrients we all most lack...none talk about the principle of anabolism! It was so easy for me to change my old habits once I knew this was the key to the beauty, youth and fitness I was seeking. This book is a revolution! No one knows fully what it contains but the authors! It's BRAND NEW! And, in my opinion, it's a must-read for anyone at any age who wishes to avoid the diseases of obesity, look and feel better and remain young, fit and healthy throughout life.I hope that others will be able to reap the same benefits that I have. I believe this country is facing an overwhelming epidemic of Obesity, Diabetes and Heart Disease. Health is your greatest wealth is no longer just a saying. The body of information in this book offers a road map to wellnes and vitality backed by good science. Marilyn Diamond and Dr. Rock have opened up about their own personal health challenges and their journeys back to good health are an inspiration to us all. I highly recommend this book to anybody that has been wanting to make a change for the better but just didn't know how.
