More versatile than advertised
Performs as advertised .. the smooth side is great for grilled cheese sandwich and the 'furrowed 'side works well for bacon.

98% pro, 2% con. About as good as it gets with cast iron
Pros:- Works exactly how I wanted in my air fryer. Pre-heat for 15 minutes at temp and it's like you're grilling on a hot grill when you put the meat on. Makes amazing steak and Chicken. Grill side for steak, flat side for chicken breast.- Very well made (also means it's heavy as f%^&)- Keeps a seasoning very well (the "non-stick" part for those not familiar with cast iron)Con (really just the one):- Kind of a pain to cleanFor those not familiar with cast iron, this means you cannot under any circumstances put it in the dishwasher. You need to scrub it well while it's still warm with hot water. Then dry it as best as you can and then put it back in the oven for 10-15 minutes so it gets completely dry. Ideally you want to give it a light coat of oil before going back in the oven to finish drying, but if you use it often enough you can get away with just adding a little oil to the side you're about to cook on when you pre heat it.Knowing what I was getting into ordering something that is cast iron, I am extremely happy with it. Just know that it does require some extra work and isn't as easy to clean and maintain as a normal pan or tray.

Cracked on First Use
Put the griddle in the stove to season it for the first time, low heat, and it cracked in the middle. As the griddle continued to heat up the crack grew and ended up being over half the length of the griddle and was about an 1/8” at the edge.Didn’t experience temperature extremes; so it must have been a defect from casting.I was disappointed as I thought it would be a good product.

Cast iron cooking great.
I gave this to my son as it is great for cooking but to heavy for me.I can no longer use my cast iron pans except for my smallest pan. This saddens me as they are the best. You will be very happy with this item if you have no trouble with heavy items. Enjoy.

ONE BURNER GRIDDLE WORKS LIKE A CHARM
Pre-seasoned helps, but I always coat my cast iron products with olive oil and bake them for an hour or two - a couple of times - to make them "look right." This cast iron plate is thicker than the two burner "Lodge Griddle" that I also love, but it's ability to uncover and cover only one burner at a time suits my purposes. This is a well-made product.

Great Grill/Griddle for Van Livin'
We picked this up to use on the cooktop of the camp chef oven for our converted van and really like it. We use it fairly often and think the heat distribution is decent, but we particularly like the reversible grease slots. They're handy when we're not perfectly level. I think cleaning will become easier as we cook on it... and pick up a decent cleaning brush. Ha. We've mostly cooked meats, grilled cheese sandwiches, and vegetables.... have yet to try pancakes, but it's on the menu. It's perfect for putting on one side of our two-burner cooktop, while using the other for saucepan/side dishes. We still have some breaking in to do, but so far so good!

Too thin to cook evenly.
Just not heavy enough. Too thin. Heat it up and put the pancake batter on, it cools down before it's fully cooked.
