Works well and is inexpensive.
Inexpensive option for quality calcium heavy nutrients. Good for raised beds and large garden plots but may breakdown too slowly for potted plant garden growing.

This stuff works!
I live in Central West Coast Florida, sandy soil and root knot nematode haven!! For the last two years I’ve been using a ton of very expensive soil augmentation products to no avail. After last year’s failure I did some research and found this product. I tilled my soil as usual, laid down a layer of black cow, sprinkled some of the crab product and added another layer of good organic planting soil. I planted all my veggies, side dressed with a bit more crab. It’s been two months and I have got to say this is the best garden I have ever had. This product is amazing!! I posted my results on my gardening group page and was surprised as to how many of them already knew about it and have also had great success with this product! I am a customer for life!!

Seems to work well
I have a big slug/snail problem in the yard and although slug bait sort'a works, needed something more (heavy clay soil, lots of rain). In researching it, appears it retains moisture, builds organic elements in the soil, acts as a food source (nitrogen), contains chitin-eating bacteria to combat ants, slugs, snails, grubs, fungus and root nematodes. What's not to like? Well, time will tell. First time using it, my hostas are loving it, with only frost damage so far--no slugs. Might be a problem if you are shellfish allergic. Definitely smells of crab - an acquired taste perhaps since it doesn't bother me as long as it works. Smell doesn't seem to linger long though. My lab who will eat anything hasn't bothered it -- yet. Fingers crossed this will be a long-term benefit for the soil and plants.

Worked well for root knot nematodes
Last year my tomatoes barely fruited and seemed to stunt/die pretty early in the season. When I pulled up the plants they were badly infected with root knot nematode. This year I mixed crab meal with the organic fertilizer I normally use and sprinkled it in the planting hole, by this point last year they would've been dead or near dead but now they're more vigorous than ever. Now I don't believe this completely deters or kills the root knot nematode since I had to pull a plant for an unrelated reason and it did have signs of root knot nematode infestation, but it seemed like it was still in the early stages. I'll definitely be using this every year.
