KMCX10 10 Speed Bicycle Chain

I can only write a honest review about my experience. Delivery was fine and chain was new out of the box. After 2 rides one of the links seized. First time this has happened to me(I've been riding for 30 years). There was no way of repairing it. So I bought the exact same chain from wiggles and that has been fine. Not having a go at the seller, it was just one of those things I suppose.

I had to shorten this chain - you do need a fairly beefy extractor tool to do this - the removed pin will NOT be reusable afterwards. The so-called supplied Missing Link can be reused if you want to remove the chain for a complete clean that rotary chain baths can't quite match. I would not like to undo this link more than once personally.If this chain is like the EL & SL models in everything but weight, this one will wear well. What surprises about all derailleur chains is their width getting worn away & not just the overall length increasing. My gear changes are back to being excellent again because of this! 4 stars to start with & will amend id required after a good few months. I'm going to experiment replacing a cheaper chain more often than a lighter one.

I ride about 4,000 miles a year on my bicycle. It's got a Tiagra 4600 groupset. These chains will last me about 12 months, but I also use the same bike on a turbo trainer so that's even more miles. It's more that I would expect it to last, especially when giving it so much stress on hill climbs.

Its just a bike chain.Ive actually bought this chain multiple times and its been a 10 speed bike chain every time and does exactly that perfectly.Doesnt rust particularly unless the bikes been through some substantial puddles or being kept outside but as long as its kept oiled ive had no problems.Ive not broken one of these chains in use but I dont normally break many chains.Although im certain there are better bike chains out there, I cant really see how they can be better so just find the cheapest chain thatll fit your bike and be content in the knowledge it doesnt matter in the slightest.

Fitted new chain easily & all seemed fine when running through gears on workstand. Set off for work next day, after 1.5 miles chain started jumping then As I changed to small chain ring to stop & investigate it came apart. Was a fixed link that failed not the joining link. Have used KMC chains on 3 bikes for a few years without problems so can only assume there was a manufacturing defect with this one. Will be returning it.

First chain came but it was damaged it had a bent link which is unusual for KMC I always buy KMC brand chains. A replacment was sent and it arrived the next day. Very happy with the new chain and the customer service.

Took five minutes to replace the chain on my Norco charger. Quick and easy to do. The chain comes with some lubrication but it needs washing off and proper lube applying.

Bought this for my mtb which I've built with a 10 speed setup. Having ridden shimano and sram most of my life, this popped up as recommended on Amazon at a pretty good price... Thought it was worth the go. 3 rides in and it's snapped (not the quick link) won't be buying kmc again. Stick to shimano or sram... Much better quality imo
