I installed this HG Power 8 Inch Exhaust Fan in a hot tub room, and it’s been a total win. The fan tackles humidity like a champ, especially when paired with a humidity control switch. What really stands out is the variable speed control—it gives you flexibility depending on how much airflow you need. Even at full blast, the sound is more of a smooth, whooshing air movement rather than an annoying buzz. It is a lot quieter than the 8” version and when the speed is dialed down it’s even quieter

Thief fan has excellent power and is fairly quiet. The only complaints are there is no housing (which would make installation easier) and there is no outside vent cover to prevent bugs or other vermon from entering your home. The vent doors are easily opened and there is a great deal of space around the edges to allow lts of bugs in. We hired a professional installer to build the housing and stall the fan. We made a makeshift outside cover. Family downside to that is you have to go outside to take off the cover when you want to use the fan and put the cover back on when you're done. This company really needs to make a permanent solution to that. We previously had a new tone fan, which is since been discontinued, that had a permanent outdoor cover that could be pulled shut using a chain on the inside.

I installed the fan through the wall behind my stove. I rewired the fan to be used with a wall switch. I added a 6 inch, 90 degree elbow and section of round duct. I made a fine screen to keep out bugs. It works fine in this application.

I wasn't expecting much when ordering this fan, just a small exhaust fan to keep temperatures down in my attic and elsewhere. I ordered two, and the quality of both is amazing. All metal construction, even the blades. The whole fan feels heavy, constructed well, and worthy of the name "industrial fan" they put on the front of the owner's manual. It's also very well balanced and doesn't rattle or shake, despite the high speed. This is not a quiet fan that you want in your living room or something, it moves a lot of air, which is going to make some noise. Another big plus is the cord which is extra long, with a nice switch. I'm very happy with this purchase.

It doesn't pull smoke out the room as shown in the video. I believe I just wasted my money
