Fun little helicopter. Play around with when waiting. But not good with windy conditions.

The media could not be loaded. This little heli is awesome! It has two gears for mellow flight or a go with a bit more pep, which I figured out by reading some else’s review here. The instructions only show that there is a button to switch the gears. It has auto take off and landing or you can do it manually. The three batteries give plenty of flight time. Great little heli to learn 4 channel.Now let’s talk about it being good for beginners! The answer to that is kind of. There are a few different types of helicopters that vary in difficulty of flying. The most simple type to fly is a 3 channel that can go up-down, forward-backward and it can turn left and right. I see that some reviews have compared this heli to those and that is a mistake. This helicopter is a four channel helicopter which adds the ability to now fly sideways left and right which brings a new dimension into play. That fact alone does make it more difficult to fly than the three channel helis. This heli will also fly quite a bit quicker than a three channel will, adding to the challenge. There are much more difficult heli to fly, which are collective pitch heli so this is definitely beginner level when compared to that.I would recommend this heli for someone getting into the hobby but it will take some time to learn how to fly well. Not really for small kids.

First thing is the battery life is great!I very seldom fly long enough to run down all three batteries.The reason for only 4 stars is that getting the battery out of the copter resulted in breaking the tail rotor off the very first time I flew it.No problem.A little super glue and back at it.Then the body broke getting the battery out the second time!!.Threw the body in the trash and have figured out how to remove the battery easier with it gone.Now for the good part.It is easy to fly and very tough.After a while I have started working on flight skills and flying it in ways it was not made for and have crashed in every way I can think of and other than a few super glue repairs it has held up rather well.I do however now need new blades that I can't seem to find any place to purchase.No problem--just cut the broken tips off and keep on flying.It just flies faster with shorter blades anyway.Only thing is that it will cut you --or someone else if it hits bare skin.The wife learned to make noise before walking into my airspace when she thinks I am practicing!!If it weren't for the battery being a pain to remove I would give it 5 stars

I dont mess with r/c. I purchased this for my son when he was 6yrs old. He's flown this thing like a champ since day 1. I tried it and it works flawlessly.

Partially my fault for waiting so long that I can’t return it, but when I finally tried to take it for a test flight, it slammed into a wall within seconds, so even if the trim buttons were all there and working, I wouldn’t have had enough time to adjust it before it crashed

Helicopters are by nature difficult to fly. I have flown many and crashed many. If you have never flown one before I suggest you take it slow with very small moves of the control sticks. Having said all of that I really like this. The helicopter is smooth and very stable. If you like you may push one button and it will take off by itself and hover. Press the same button again and it will land itself. The fun really starts when you start getting used to the controls and begin flying by yourself. I highly recommend this little bird. By the way you can find any replacement parts you may need at Hobby Explosion under Rage Volitar parts ( The Firefox is the same helicopter rebranded) . Amazon has the best price on this helicopter. Fly away !!!!!

It's a good product flies fine with a lot of electronic hand holding but arrived with a missing linkage rod and Amazon was unable to help and the company itself had terrible customer support that didn't reply.

Got this Chopper for my grandson who has been flying various RC choppers for 5 years. He liked the control over the Chopper in turns. Said it was far better than any if his other RC helicopters. He liked the battery life. I would encourage any buyer to get additional batteries. You get 12 to 15 minutes flight time. Having charged batteries to swap out is a big time saver. I ended up getting a 2nd Chopper for myself after seeing thus one in action. He flew this in a large building, but it is well designed for outside flying! Grandson says it is better suited to more experienced flyers. However, I had no issues with it and I am a novice at this. Enthusiastically recommend!
