This is a AWESOME SOUNDBAR AND SUBWOOFER
Hi my name is Matt Morgan, I was afraid and had my concerns about this surround sound bar and subwoofer because of all the reviews!!! I just got my soundbar with subwoofer. The box was in bad shape so I unpack it carefully and plug it in the wall there is a blue light on the subwoofer is blinking but as soon I plug the soundbar on the blue light from the subwoofer stop blinking. Everything sounds great. I was just amazed so great the sound sounded!!! I love this soundbar with subwoofer. No turning off yet the control works like it should. No trouble i would recommend this too anybody!!!

Great for the value
My husband loves it. The surround sound is awesome. I would recommend. What I didn't appreciate was that the box was not covered. The logo and picture of the item were on the box. It was supposed to be a surprise birthday present, and the surprise was ruined.

Very good, some shortcomings
The Klipsch Studio Series 400 Sound Bar + 8Inch Wireless Subwoofer is a big step up from my Yamaha ATS-1060, both in power and sound quality, plus the addition of the subwoofer and Dolby. What it's lacking however is an equalizer, so if your source doesn't have one or can't use it, you're out of luck. For example, when using the HDMI-ARC output from my TV, the TV's equalizer is disabled so I have no equalizer. Fortunately with my TV, when viewing programs with Dolby sound, the audio sounds good. When the program audio output is not in Dolby, the surround function on the sound bar will brighten it up. I would not however, confuse the surround function with the real thing. Overall, I'm satisfied with the sound bar's overall performance with my 2023 LG C3 OLED TV.Not having an equalizer with the sound bar may be is a major issue when playing music, depending on the source. When I played songs from YouTube Music on my laptop, everything sounded muddy but, since since there's no equalizer on YouTube Music for PC, I couldn't change anything. When I used my Android phone however, no problem, I adjusted the built-in YouTube equalizer and it sounded great! Before buying it, I knew this sound bar didn't have an equalizer but also knew it wouldn't be a problem for music, since I primarily use my phone. My old TV didn't have an equalizer and my Yamaha sound bar's equalizer was very rudimentary, so I don't think there will be much of an issue with sound quality from TV program audio. Also there is no app that I can use on my phone as a remote because the Klipsch Connect App doesn't support it, nor does the only 3rd party Android app that I can find. This is a problem if you lose your remote or it breaks, or in my case, I always put the remote away and use the app. It's just one less remote to add to the clutter. I can live with this, I just don't like it. One other minor issue is that it's quite tall and it blocks the IR sensor on my TV so I have to hold my TV remote up in the air and point it down to turn it on. Fortunately, I don't have to do that with my TV remote app on my phone or it would be a bigger problem.Installation and setup is a breeze, although I hope you don't need to rely too much on the included product manual. It's very cryptic, but I believe that there are additional tips on the website. I had no problem pairing the subwoofer and other Bluetooth devices. Overall the sound quality and power output is great for me. The surround sound setting has minimal effect on Dolby input but does add an echoed effect to others that will be subjective in terms of likeability. The dialog feature is useful for me.Overall I'm happy with this sound bar, especially since I got it for a significantly discounted price. If you can live with the few drawbacks and don't want Dolby Atmos, The Klipsch Studio Series 400 Sound Bar + 8Inch Wireless Subwoofer is a good choice.

Literal Worst Purchase I've Ever Made -- ASHAMED of Klipsch for this.
This is, without a doubt, the worst purchase I've ever made, and the biggest disappointment in a brand in my life.Firstly -- I'm not a full blown audiophile, but I dabble. I have a couple Klipsch RP260's in the basement with a Klipsch Center, and a respectable driver/amp setup, as well as a Sunfire 12" sub. Nothing jaw dropping, but enough to get a taste of "good audio". The rest of the house is filled with soundbars, trick wiring setups, and minimalist setups in kids rooms, etc. The "cheapy" Klipsch 2.1 $99 computer speakers, namely. This proves relevant shortly. We originally purchased a JBL 3.1 soundbar + sub from NFM in ~2018. That thing will positively rip the skin off your face, and it was $299 at the time. We later bought a JBL 2.1 that was plagued with bluetooth subwoofer pairing goblins -- but was also a *very* respectable setup, coming in @ $209.In an effort to replace the JBL 2.1 after the BT saga -- I purchased this Klipsch Cinema 400 from Amazon, supposedly on sale, for $350. I took a leap of faith on the brand, as I was both hugely pleased with the RP260 towers, and had very low expectations for the computer 2.1 setup that were easily surpassed by a more than adequate result for $99. I figured, "...it's Klipsch and they want $350 for it... it CANNOT be a bad purchase". Wrong. Dead wrong.First -- the build itself. The Klipsch emblem itself is crooked, and clearly cheaply made. The fabric used on the face of the speaker looks like used panty hose. The cabinets of both the bar and the subwoofer are the same quality you find with other Klipsch products, which makes the audio to be described later even that much more disappointing. The construct itself isn't awful, and mirrors other similar brands in woofer and electronics mounting, but for my previously beloved brand, and for $350, I was REALLY hoping to see them shine here as I've always been impressed by Klipsch's follow through. Not the case here.Audio: Terrible. I mean... awful. Muddy isn't the word. Bass is only suitable when a notch below it's maximum for music, and only tolerable on a few notches from it's minimum in movies. Highs are hugely frustrating. Some streaming audio in "LIVE" settings reach for quality -- but it's very spotty, and even then disappointingly bright and overexaggerated. Most others however are somehow lost in what I can only assume is some sort of onboard hardware driven EQ that is only editable in 3 ways (on the remote) using prebuilt default settings. Surround on or off. Dialogue mode on or off. But as bad as the highs get it -- the MIDS are MISSING ALTOGETHER. Seriously. It's like being in a movie theater with an entire channel muted. There is no way to adequately describe this in text, you'd just have to (not) hear it for yourself. Finally, what I'm calling outright FLAWS.+The absence of a digital numerical display on the face for volume and settings/options.+The pitiful and virtually useless remote, and it's available "options"+Pops LOUDLY when turned on after TV is turned on, when audio first appears+As noted in several other reviews, has a very strange issue where the system turns off completely when idle for VERY short periods of time and/or drops out the low end and subwoofer intermittently as though it's attempting to go to sleep, but then kicks back on without any interactionOVERALL: HUGELY disappointed in the brand, and the delivery. This, amazingly, could steer me away from them altogether for future audio purchases. It's a statement that I hated this thing so badly that I took the time to painstakingly uninstall, fish out wiring, and repack this all back in it's awkward box so that I can complete the return and do it all over again...
