This DisplayPort adaptor has no-set up. I just plugged it into my Dell XPS-15 and it was happy to drive my 4K Asus monitor at 60Hz.The connectors are quite plasticy, so I'm not sure how long they will last.In general, it is best to run a screen from a dedicated adaptor like this than from a multi-function one, as all of the resources of the USB-C port can be dedicated to the display. On some computers, only certain USB-C ports are able to provide dedicated Display capabilities, so check your manual carefully.It may not be perfect, but this adaptor is excellent at what it's designed for.
