Great lens hood that fits perfectly on my Canon lens!
This is a high quality, well-built lens hood that is just as good as the original on supplied by Canon. It fits perfectly on the lens (in both directions). I highly recommend this lens hood if you need to replace your original!

Hard to tell from the factory hood in use
If it weren't for the name on the side and the lack of flocking on the inside, it would be hard to tell this one from the Canon original, including the way the window for adjusting the polarizer always ends up sliding open in use.I bought this one as cheap insurance to preserve the original hood during heavy field use.I am extremely satisfied with the quality and the price.

Fine hood, less than ideal fit
It's not a Canon hood so it doesn't fit perfectly, especially in storage position, but it does fit well enough to use.Take care lining it up. Mine has survived going on and off crooked a few times and been okay (plastic seems to be decent quality).

Better than the Canon original
After losing the canon 100-400 mm lens hood I purchased this one. It fits and works great. The Canon had a habit of falling off, which is how I lost it. So far, this replacement hood has never fallen off. Highly recommend.

Did not fit my lens well
Tried this on my Canon EF 70-200 L f/2.8 II lens. It was hard to attach and detach.It did work, but too tight of a fit. There’s a possibility I did not use it enough where it may wear a bit and fit better.

Item arrived cracked. Disappointing.

Better value than Canon replacement hood.
Bought this to replace an allegedly lost original Canon hood. Received the new hood and amazingly found the lost hood. I challenge anyone to tell the difference in quality between the two. The JW LH-83D actually has a snugger fit than the original Canon hood. And it is approximately one-quarter of the cost of a genuine Canon replacement.
