Q: I’m about to buy this antenna and put it on top on my house. what type of cable do i run from the antenna to a cb radio?

Dear customer, HYS 144/430Mhz antenna works for vhf/uhf radio, not CB radio. If you need work for CB radio, please don't buy, because it doesn't work. Thank you.

Length after completion of installation：about 93.5cm （36.8inch）

Q: is it directional. do i need a rotor?

Yes, and yes if you want to remotely change its directionality.

Q: I would like to use it for ssb

Yes it can be used for ssb cw or any other mode digital analog. Vhf 30 mhz to 300 mhz uhf 300 to 1000 mhz refers to the radio transmission band not the mode. The antenna is set for specific frequencies in those bands. I use 1 antenna for different modes within the design frequencies.
