Aquascape 98892 Cold Water Beneficial Bacteria for Pond and Water Features, 8-Ounce

Worked great in our pond. The water over the winter developed string algae and looked like a green soup. After a month of regularly applying during the transition from winter to spring, while the water was still under 50F, it cleared completely and the algae are all gone. I also used some phosphate binder from another company, I think the combination worked as a charm. Does not smell bad, like other products and it’s really easy to use, the pump squirts out the pre-measured doses.

This product worked well with the addition of live pond plants. I have not found any product that totally works on it's own.

This was my first year with this bacteria, and I'm very impressed! I have a 900 gallon pond, and I live in Michigan. The pond goes from clear (winter) to green as soon as it warms up even slightly. This year, I cleaned the biological filter medium and got the sludge out of the bottom, removed the leaves from the bottom, and put two squirts on the filter and 7 squirts in the pond. I dosed 2x during the first week (3 days apart), used 2 Microbe Lift Spring/Summer cleaner packs and started Nualgi weekly treatments and the pond was crystal clear within the first week. I bought two bottles of the bacteria and will continue treatments according to directions until I'm out. I have plans to buy this again next spring! This was the easiest spring start-up yet. I've already recommended this to two pond-owning friends.

After heavy filtering and cleaning all leaves and muck from my pond, the green pea soup water prevailed, I selected this product after careful consideration. (Careful when opening because it can squirt out on you) This started to clear the pond water within a day. I followed directions and have used twice in the past week with clear water being the outcome. I highly recommend this product and am confident it will work on a small pond like mine.

I ordered this product primarily because it's what my pond maintenance company uses when doing a cleaning of my fish pond. I've found since they applied this product after cleaning that the ecological balance in my pond is the best it's ever been. Excellent product!!
